Deputy is the one that dies mid-way to illustrate how dangerous the villain is, essentially the point of no return for any good story.

...So, you can totally be my deputy sarcastic desk woman, that acts as awesome comic relief yet shows hidden badass depths in the climatic gunfight.

I dunno if it's the detective part people pick up on, or something else. No idea. Maybe diplomatic skills? Heheh.

All these levels and sub-levels of degrees give me a huge headache. The system of Medicine is a loooot simpler!

Currently in the process of doing an Electronic Engineering degree, my other qualifications all suck so it's not a big deal.

People keep telling me I'd be a superb police man.

I would be an awesome traffic cop. I have so much rage for bad drivers, careless drivers and those wankers who think that just because they have a "baby on board" sign hanging in their window they can do whatever the hell they want. And of course, because they have children, it's totally the other driver's fault if their kids get hurt.

Pet peeve  -__-

But yes, you would make a good detective. If I could choose any branch of law enforcement, I would like most of all to be a Sheriff of a small town in the US, one of those communities where everybody knows everybody, and ultimately ends with half the population being brutally murdered. But it would be nice and picturesque, with mountains and streams and trees and occasional bears and mooses. Though on second thoughts, maybe being the Deputy would be better. That way, when the Sheriff gets shot, I'll be safe.

I would like to apply for the position of "pet detective" in this town of yours. Put in the good word for me?

Ok, I suppose I can solve pet crimes as my afterhours superhero crimefighting job.

A pet peeve detective moonlighting as a pet detective. By day you'll hunt down the people who irritate me, and by night you'll wear your underpants on the outside of your trousers and solve pet-related mysteries.

Nobody will ever suspect a thing!

I wish being a pet detective was as simple as just solving mysteries. But no, the laws of the Animal Kingdom are much less forgiving - often it is kill or be killed. As a pet detective I am judge, jury, and executioner. I am the law!

Indeed. I hear the americans (or was it the canadians?) found a way to complicate it a bit, though.
