Necrobrag!

For the first time since '13, I've managed to boost my rig a bit towards this decade.

I haven't upgraded anything in a year or so. Looking at getting a new motherboard, new RAM, and a new CPU.

Mine:

Processor: Intel Quad Core i5 4690k @3.5GHz
Motherboard: ASUS Z97-Pro
Memory: 16GB DDR3
Internal Hard Drives: 250GB SSD + 2TB HDD
Graphics Card: MSI GTX 970 4GB
Monitors: A black one.

Its 2 years old now, so I'm wondering about how to upgrade it, but I'm not really sure its necessary.

Eh why not

Processor: i7 3820
Motherboard: Asus P9X79
Memory: 16gb 1600mhz DDR3
Storage 2tb Barracuda 7200rpm and some really old 230gb SSD
Graphics Card: Reference 780ti, been serving me wonderfully ever since it was launched <3
Monitors: got a random TV as main and then an actual monitor as secondary. Both 1080p 60hz

Also picked up a soundblaster audigy fx for my beyerdynamic dt 990 pro's, such a great combo.

I'm probably going to buy a 500gb SSD after summer just because, and in a year or two the GPU will also be upgraded. I've no idea how good my CPU is but I feel it's kinda crap for an i7, probably can't be arsed to upgrade that anytime soon.

I reckon this will serve me just fine for at least a few more years so I'm not in a hurry to change anything really, though I wanted to get a new GPU once Nvidia farts something out again.

E: This summer is going to be painful >.>

Processor: Intel Dual Core 2.8ghz
Motherboard: God knows, something Stalin made back in 1946.
Memory: 4gb DDR2
Storage 150gb HDD
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon 4670hd 1gb, basically only thing that's low end, everything else is ancient.
Monitor: Samsung syncmaster 765mb

i won?

If it still runs the games you like it's not a problem! I have a slightly more up to date system that still serves me well:

Processor: Intel i5-3470 @ 3.20 GHz
Motherboard: Asus P8H61-MX
Memory: 8GB
Hard Drives: 275GB SSD + 1TB HDD
Graphics Card: GTX 660 2GB
Monitor: 22" Iiyama ProLite E2208HDS

The monitor is the oldest item, released in 2008, though I don't think I bought it until 2010. I bought the PC itself in 2013 I think, and added the SSD late last year for just over £60. The GTX660 was released 5 years ago as a mid range card, but I haven't felt constricted or let down by it yet, though it is true I haven't bought a really demanding game for some time. I don't care about playing games at the highest settings, so as long as I can play my favourites at upper-middle settings then I will be happy.

Recently I have been lucky enough to be in the position where I could upgrade my PC.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 6xCore
Motherboard: Gigabyte AB350M
Memory: 16GB DDR4
Internal Hard Drives: 250GB SSD + 1TB + 500GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon Vega 64 8GB
Monitor: 34" 1440p ViewSonic

CPU: Intel Core i5 7600K Kaby Lake
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB
Mobo: ASRock Z270 Extreme4
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
HD Space: 120GB SSD, 2TB HDD

For my first gaming PC, I like it.

CPU: Intel i5-9600K + NZXT Kraken X42
RAM: 16GB G.Skill DDR4 2133 MHz, 15-15-15-36 because I'm cheap as hell
Mobo: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi
GPU:
XFX RX 580 GTS Black Edition (8 GB)
Drives: 500 GB Samsung 860 EVO SSD + 1 TB Intel NVMe SSD

Bought my new desktop in anticipation of bannerlord. i9, 3.1 ghz, 2060 super, 32 gigs ram. Seems to stutter on overland map, not sure if thats my fault or whether the game needs 'optimization'? No issues, having a great time, backlog massive so I'm happy to see it refined, even if my game saves are going to **** because of future patches.

Must've played 12 hours so far, no crashes or nothing. Fighting bandit battles and they're fast, which is a good thing I suppose. Maybe I'll get into sieges in these coming weeks.
