I'm not sure what class it would be, but here's my equipment.

Armor:
Royal Crown
Maltise Asp Armor
Black Steel Boots

Weapons:
Ruby Rune Two-handed Sword
Heritage Daja Bow
2 bags of D'shar arrow (1 large, 1 regular)

and a netherworld charger

At first I felt like an idiot when I took Maltise's armor instead of the gem but the Dread Legion still spawns anyways even though she said she would never take up arms again.

I use the same armor kit, but Runed Bastard Sword, Sapphire Rune Bow, Noldor Arrows, and Spirit Horse...love being able to switch from harassing cav archer to heavy knight in a pinch

I always go:
Weapon:
Ruby rune bow
Large bag of Noldor arrows
Ruby rune axe
Reinforced Immortal shield (the ancient shield takes too much shield skill)

Armour:
Eventide helm with cape
Lordly ebony plate (from the Noldor merchant in Laria)
Mettenheim steel mittens
Heavy plated boots

What?! You can take her armour! I never even noticed that option, I always rushed for the gem. I'm so taking that, I always though you had to loot it. I'm so taking that armour next time.

On the topic of unique armour and weapons from leaders, are there any others? Does Valdis give a fancy axe?

King George's is the best. "Dragon's Tooth". 1/2 handed, speed 120, length 130, 47 cut, 39 pierce

Ranger type class

Forlorn hope plate 62Armor,22 for leg.
Good boots and gloves.
Heavy Ravenstern Charger

Weapons: Ruby runed two handed sword
Ruby runed bow - Large bag of Noldor arrows.
Sometimes I like to switch out the Bow and arrow for Heavy Morningstar and a Thick Order of the Dragon shield.

I play mostly on horseback with three shields and a one handed weapon.
I often pay the enemy PFI (poor ******** infantry) a visit.
I just got my first castle so no real uber equipment here.

Head: Lordly Salade (+56 +7 body armor)
Thorso: Thick Royal Platemail (+60 +1:cool:
Legs: Black Greaves (+35)
Hands: Mettenheim Steel Mittens (+9) a gift from good old Frederick
Weapon/Shields: Chipped Runde Bastard Sword, 2x Empire Immortal Shield, 1x Thick Engraved Shield

Three shields become redundant after you reach a good shield lv but I like it, different from the usual heavy cav archer build

Well, two shield are good, as one of them protects your back. And you still have on spare, i can see that working. But no lance will be a pain when you encounter demonic magi.

I'm personally a huge fan of blunt weapons in Warband so I always end up running with a Masterwork Military Hammer as I'm not aware of any better one handed blunts in Pendor (I miss the Heavy Horseman's Mace from Floris). I usually couple this with the best size 100 shield I can get my hands on at the time and I'm set for general mounted warfare. I always try to keep a Ruby Rune two-hander around for sieges and Demonic/Anaconda troops. The last slot is taken up with a set of Balanced Assassin's Throwing Knives so my chap has at least some ranged capability.

My mount of choice is always a Noldor Spirit Horse, usually of the Spirited variety, but sometimes the Champion if I should get lucky in the Noldor tournament reward system. They run like the wind and are durable enough to survive almost any fight ,unless you enjoy trying to see how many lance strikes your mount can take, which makes the Netherworld Charger's durability largely unnecessary

Bow, 3x arrows +4x3 arrows in the pack.
horse

file edit to allow inventory button in sieges

all day every day.

For sieges, I use a sapphire glaive, ruby bow, and two large bags of regular arrows and spam overhead attacks at the hangup at the top of the ladder when I run out of arrows.  Occasionally I switch one of the bags of arrows or the glaive for a one handed weapon if I expect the enemy to get over the ladder. Shields can be grabbed from the dead.

For field combat, the boring 1h, shield and bow setup. I've tried other setups, but they're just not as effective.

Fine Siege Crossbow with  large bag of steel bolts
Ruby Rune sword
Thick order of the Dragon Shield

I'm a Footslogger, with an army of Empire infantry.  My first play through was easier, but I'm enjoying this one more.

In the field a 1 handed sword, balanced jatu honor lance, a noldor reinforced shield and an immortal/noldor noble shield cause they look cool/cover my back. In a siege, the rune two hander, 2 shields, and a 1 hander. I change my heros weapons around a lot. Played crossbows in native a lot, really worthless in the field so I just stopped bringing it. Archery is OP and after a while I felt like it was cheating. The high risk/reward of 2 handers is more thrilling imo.

My guy is a Ranger character i'd say.

Light armour to stay fast.
Fast horse.
Ruby Bow gifted by the gods.
noldor sword 1h
balanced jatu honor lance.

Hes a heavy hitter and fast as hell but he doesnt last long in prolonged melee. gotta keep quick on my toes  i saw someone had Elite ranger armour in an earlier post. where do you get that?

i want to try foot soldier next, surround myself with mixed empire Immortals and Bladesmen troops with some xbow support. should be fun.

for now i am a standard heavy knight, sword and board + a bow that i'm just building skill for, never really used bow in MnB but i find it fun!

i honestly thought being on foot would be **** until i played brytenwalda. now i find myself dismounting in POP aswell. just have to be careful with Noldor bowmen coz you will be slower and also the dreaded hero cavarly charge will smash you up lol

I like to dismount too and just rape anything that comes near with my ruby two hander  Just gotta be careful when fighting Jatu as they like to try to lance me
