Your Class and Weapon

HybridSoldier

Sergeant
Hey guys! Its me HybridSoldier. Lets talk something new, what's your class that you're currently playing? And what weapon did you use?

Well, I currently play as Heavy Knight, and my weapons are:
1. Long Knight Lance
2. Heavy Morningstar
3. Griffon Heater Shield

And my armor:
1. Pendor Helmet Crown
2. Order of Griffon armor

My horse:
1. Ironbred Stallion

That's me, how about you?

Hm my class would be a Ranger Captain (because most of my skillpoints are in all the CH/IN skills, and almost all statpoints in IN) ...

1. Ruby Rune Axe
2. Reinforced Noldor Enchanted Shield
3. Heritage Djaha Bow
4. Large Pack of Noldor Arrows.

Armor:
Pendor Crown
Reinforced Noldor Ancient Plate
Lordly Mettenheim Steelmittens
Noldor Boots

Thats it  (no horse!)

My most recent character, 200 days in:
Weapons:
That two bladed axe used by the Berserkers
    that's it!
Armour:
Reinforced Brigandine (or sth like that, it's the new chain mail armour in warband, light but decent armor rate)
    Dread Legion Helmet
    Bearclaw Boots (name?)
    Bearclaw Gauntlets (name? )
I'm trying to find a bearclaw armour and helmet to match the theme but my warband is so big that I rarely loot bearclaw stuff now

I play this one as a foot soldier. Doesnt work that well for me tbh . I have no shield, so gotta keep close to the infantry blob. Even when the infantry clashes, there's still a huge chance to be shot in the face or lanced by a stray enemy cav....So I tend to be down in every battle, and I dont kill that many either, compared to a cav or bow character.

I'd say I'm a Heavy Horseman..

Weapons: Runed Bastard Sword, Reinforced Ancient Engraved Shield, Ruby Rune Bow, Noldor Arrows

Armour: Pendor King Helm, Ranger Elite Armour, Thick Heavy Plate Greaves, Reinforced Mettenheim Steel Mittens

Horse: Netherworld Charger

Nearly at Day 500..

HybridSoldier I have a similar set up.
But I ditch the long knight lance for a ruby bow.

-Ruby Bow (Given by some Goddess)
-Large bag of Nordor Arrow
-Masterwork Morningstar (slow, 40 damage no matter what, crush through shield/block, ALWAYS HIT! Best weapon in the game!)
-Knight of the Lion Shield

-Ebony Armor (i think that's the name)
-Sallet Helmet (Because of +5 body armor)
-Steel Glove (+11 body armor)
-Black Steel boot (+40 leg armor)

-Nordor Horse (forgot the name but speed about 47 I think)

Despite all that, playing on normal/normal (100% damage) is hard. Still get shot in the face, stab in back, etc. But atlest I stand a chance.

I've been looking for a masterwork morningstar or masterwork iron mace. Have never seen either of them with any modifier except heavy. I sort of assumed they simply didn't exist.

A Mounted/Foot Ranger set-up.

Ruby Rune Bow and arrows
Any Ebony Knight sword, usually the bastard though
A strong shield.

Heavy Plate Armor of some kind.

A quick yet high armored horse.

Balanced long Knights Lance (goes without saying)

Sapphire rune Axe (130 speed, thank you)

Kite shield  (max size - max resist)

Disregarding that, the optimal values are minimum weight armor and weapon speed and reach.

Ruby Rune Bow
2x Large normal arrows
Zweihander (I think, it was a while ago)

Forlorn Hope Plate
Crowned Helm
Mettenheim Gauntlets
Whatever boots had the highest armour

Jatu honor lance
ancient engraved shield
broad head throwing spear
ruby rune axe

lordly noldor rune armor
reinforced immortal helm
heavy plate boots
lordly gauntlet

jatu hunter

Class: a clarion-call esque knight

Equipment:
Sapphire Bow
Runed Bastard sword
Noldor Enchanted shield
Noldor Arrows

Armor:
Barclay plumed helm
Reinforced Royal platemail
Gauntlets
plate boots

and Ventus, my champion Ironbred Stallion!

We used pretty much the same things, except I used 2 quivers of Noldor Arrows.

I've recently started seeking out the ebony swords for my companions. They are comparable to noldor swords, and far cheaper to obtain.

I went for the normal arrows as you get more shots, and the Ruby Rune does more than enough damage without needing the extra from special arrows.

it depends on how you like to play POP. Right now im playng a foot soldier. 2 handed weapon with javs no shield no horse and all my troops are foot soldiers. i do have some trooble fighting armies with lots of horses but who cears ? theres nothing beather then charging in to the battle with my infantry stare thous blademasters husclars in the face and laugh as i pierce there flesh with me heavy weapon. there is no greather fealing surviving the rain of arows after holding the front lines and waiting for thous cowards to come in my javs range. if you like the chalange if you like stearing into deaths face and laugh then the foot soldiers is what you need

ok, so it's my stuff, that I always want to have in game, but I don't always acquire it...

Salade or Mercenary helm
Dark-blue platemail(spelling... Raven Spears wear it) or old Ebony platemail or any other platemail/transitional armour
some shiny boots and gauntlets

Veteran Polehammer (a bit tweaked for proper polearm animations)
Morgernstern or Barclay arming sword(i'm not sure is it 'arming' actually)
Engraved or ornate knightly shield
(rarely instead of polehammer I use crossbow or xbow with polehammer when playing on foot - pretty hardcore)

horse: that empire hunter with red "cloth" on it(easy to obtain, fast and well armoured)

But if I can get that Pendor ornate armour, I use it with Armet with plume, some white/silver shield and some sexy claymore/longsword

Oooh yeah, I love Polehammers too! They used to be much better pre-Warband when you could sweep them through people. Now though, find enough space and you can really go to town with it.
