Eventhough I'm Dutch myself I love SUV's, as long as they're proper bad ass. No to a Kia, yes to a Jeep or Range Rover or Ford Explorer.

But seriously, a Prius does more damage to the environment than a gas guzzler, but I drive neither. I'd never drive a Smart or a Sinclair C5 though.

What's the mileage? I run 10 miles on 1 liter of LPG, my former car did almost that, and the car before 12 miles on one liter of petrol.

SUV's are considered not very bad when doing just over half my mileage on petrol, that is pretty pathetic.

I don't drive a SUV. Its a 4wd. There's a big difference.

Anyway, i've seen reports of the fuel economy being about 7.3L/100km (8.5miles/liter). Haven't actually tested it myself though, but i'd imagine i'd probably do better, i drive like a granny.
I guess its not exactly like modern turbo diesels, maybe the 80% comment was wrong. But for a 20 year old car not bad at all.Putting LPG on it would be a waste though.

Diesels should run no less than 10 miles to the liter, but yours is not as bad as some others I have seen
