You should be given a fief as soon you join a kingdom as a vassal, like in Warband

With the recent nerf in caravans, its near impossible to make a steady income in this game. Furthermore, as soon as you join a kingdom as a vassal you don't get anything. They should go back to how Warband did it and give you a fief as soon as you join the kingdom as a vassal, or at least you'll be guaranteed the next fief that they conquer in a war. This would transfer your economic reliance from caravans and workshops, unstable sources of income and an early/mid game way of accruing denars, to a more consistent, stable, and end-game way of making money.

Interesting. Thank you for the link.
There are plenty of ways to get income aside from caravans.

I'm at 200-ish tier 5-6 troops and 4 parties with only 1 caravan ( since i never liked it because half the trade perks dont work anyway ) and still 20K income a day.

4 workshops combined hardly make 2k profit, while 1 caravan easily does without EVER getting attacked because as soon as it gets chased a 120 man party gets 6.5 movement speed? Thats something needing a nerf right there.

Have you not played the current beta? Or even the latest patch. I couldn't even make a caravan without it getting attacked, and I'm not alone. I don't know how many people I've read on Reddit/Forums that say something similar.

Although, I guess they could fix that by simply bringing back manhunters, which they should.

I have, currently at day 694. I do agree manhunters would help, or even city owners being able to create patrols, or able to give our parties commands like "patrol this city" to keep it safe from bandits so caravans dont get harrassed. ( companion parties and other lords being able to clear hideouts might help too )

On a side note, caravans are not really worth it at this point because half the trade perks dont really work so your companion isnt getting 100% out of it.

Again i do agree when you join a kingdom you should get atleast 1 fief, or get a high vote on the next one captured.

Don't you already get a 300 gold bonus from the King, called "Help From King," if you have 0 fiefs? That seems fair to me, until your faction can acquire more territory.

Being able to create patrols would be nice. I've also heard the suggestion that we should be able to just create a caravan and put our own troops in it. Or perhaps, like in Warband, you can give orders to one of your companion parties or those in your clan. Like ordering them to accompany a caravan.
I know in Warband when you joined you would automatically get a fief, but it would be a village. Now that villages aren't manageable, its kind of harder to get a fief.

I don't think I've ever gotten 300 denars before. I could be wrong though, and I just never noticed it.

I am 100% sure i remember hearing Armagan saying you could send your brother ( for example of clan functions ) on patrol. So i do hope they add this function, that instead of your parties doing random stuff, they can be more usefull

Yeah, when I joined the Sturgians, I got a 300 gold / day bonus from the King, until I was awarded Varcheg.

As for patrols, there happens to be an amazing mod, called BuyPatrols (https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/343?tab=description) that is truly amazing. Really controls bandits, you can make it avoid attacking caravans, and the new version with Lords hiring them makes the snowball even slower.
