You favorite mount

I am curious as to which mount players prefer.  I know that some mounts are
better against some enemies (for example, a heavy charger is not very useful
against the Horde), but I do not find the 'It depends' answer particularly
interesting.

I have merged 'champion' with 'spirited', as well as 'heavy' with 'basic', because
the formers are upgrades to the latter, and I assume that once cash starts flowing
easily, everyone would prefer the better horse.

I have also listed version that do not exist.  I just want to see how many votes
they will get. 

Oh, and for those who play multiple characters, please select the mount of the
character you most enjoy playing. Yes, I really hate the 'It depends' answer.

Agreed. The best horse in the game as far as I'm concerned.

I prefer a champion/spirited, cavalry is supposed to be about being fast, and picking off people through couching, not running through infantry lines swinging a big sword/axe.

I prefer the heavy hunter, for me thats the best overall horse in the game.

The heavy charger is my second favorite.

I usually carry 2 horses(a spare one in my inventory..)..a courser against khergits and a heavy charger against all others..

It's just the best for horse archery.

Unless I play as a mounted archer (then I go for a speedy mount like courser or hunter) I prefer the heavy charger.

hunter is the best, has the right mix of speed and defence.
My char is an axewielding horse archer, so speed is good, and when i run out of arrows because of the armour, it doesn't die as easily when charging infantry or other cavalry than the courser or saddle horse do.

I prefer my two legs to any horsie, as your legs can't be cut under you ass (at least not in-game). And it doesn't feel so cowardly when you face your opponents on foot.

the spirited courser. best mount for steppe warriors. I just wizz past those drooling Swadian villager idiots in their tons of tin(I mean, how stupid do you have to be to cover a horse in steel, dammit!) and slice their heads off with my scimitar.

If I really have to confront anybody, I like the spirited hunter - almost as fast as the courser, but is pretty tough too. It`s pretty balanced.

The Hunter is the most balanced IMO. They're fast, have a good amount of hitpoints and manoeuvre very well.

Heavy charger

I play a rather weird character. Horse archery as a Nordish Lord. Most of the time i am the only cavalry unit in my entire army, which gives me a big mark on my face. So i need a heavy charger to survive those bolts, arrows, javelins and the like that keep flying at me.

Furtherly i also use an axe and a shield, so when i run out of my 34 barbed arrows i just charge and shatter their archers.
