i just wondered, how do i "copy" a mesh and assign another texture to it, so i don't overwrite the original mesh and texture.
i'm trying to copy the surcoat and texture it different without rigging or something like that.
 
1) Use a normal font.
2) You can't change the UV-map layout without rerigging.
3) It's called cloning in brf-edit. You have to use another material(which you have created and is the one with your own texture, obviously).
 
Ok, not to sound like a broken record, but have you read through the tutorial update?  This is covered in the heraldic section.  You don't need to re-rig yourself.  There is a tool to re-copy the rigging.  All the tools needed are listed there too.
