XP from hitting

I think it would be cool to get exp from hitting an enemy, cuz its really annoying when you hit an enemy few times, and are ready to finish him off, sum of your troops come and kill 'em and you dont get any exp. :sad: .

It could be so that you get little xp from hitting an enemy, and more when you kill it.
 
You already get weapon proficiency points from hitting people.

If my memory serves me right, I think Arma said that he had had exp/hit system, but he removed it for some reason.
 
Gonna bet it was from someone cornering some high armor mob and repeatedly hitting him with a knife. :wink:
 
You'd end up with way too much experience points way too quickly, plain and simple.
 
Yeah. If damaging an enemy for n points gave (exp value)*(n)/(total health) I don't see the problem with it. Although you'd have to have a hard cap on the Exp, set to the bas exp of the character, otherwise you could headshot him for 4338 damage and level up 5 times.
 
I Agree.

In fact, I often exploit the current system in order for my troops to improve faster without risking their lives.

In the beginning i order them to stay back while i ride forth to soften enemies, then command them to charge these half dead baddies and shred them to pieces.

With the system rewarding hits instead of kills, that would become impossible.
