Well I just put in a request for XFire to put M&B into their games list. I will update later to inform you if they plan to or not.

Man, the last thing I need is something keeping track of how many hours I spend in M&B. My addiction counselor might see it or something.

LOL as funny as that sounds, many experts are now saying that gaming addiction is becoming just as big a problem as drug and alcohol addiction.

we should probably address the problem now its more unhealthy than both of those

But I hate those people who think violent games make killers. Playing this game is fun, and if anything, a stress reliever.

However, it if is wanted, I could take a real sword and chop off a real head instead of doing it virtually... I definately prefer the virtual.

Joining over XFire usually goes very bad anyway. They added SCCT MP to their list a whiole ago, but the only point is tracking the hours played, because when you try to join over XFire, you always get a "session no longer available" error. :|

But a more intresting point of having M&B added, is the fact I can keep XFire running, and have conversations with someone while I play (as example someone I was waiting for or something, but he didn't show up on time, so I went playing a bit). Usually, the game now switches to the conversation, or simply nothing happens.

I question the credibility of said experts, honestly. I'd have to say the only people that would get addicted to gaming severely enough to harm themselves or others would be the same types that would get addicted to *anything* that they enjoyed. I know that some people are prone to psychological addictance, but claiming that something is "addicting" because of that particular group is asinine.

(Not saying any of this about you, mind, just pointing out that I think that said experts are taking things out of context.)

I thought that getting M&B put into Xfire might boost its sales or perhaps people of knowing about the game, who then tell their friends about it and so on. Still no reply though.

:( Experts love to sell stupid books, huh?

There are some general criteria for determining if something would be classified as an addiction. An addiction can refer to any substance/activity that:

- produces strong cravings

- is associated with strong withdrawl symptoms

- disrupts and takes precedence over growth-oriented behavior.

You can draw your own conclusions as to whether this would indicate that online gaming addictions are a valid disorder. In my oppinion the first and third points most definately could be applied to a person obsessed with a particular game. The second point most like would not occur with gaming unless the person has a previous history of mental illness or some sort of social disorder.

Putting M&B on XFire will surely make your friends see the game... And if XFire would even put M&B in their downloads list, I'm sure many more would get to know this great game. :)
