Xerina, Kradus and Dranton are elite arena fighters. They are better than other fighters. So if you see them as allies, you should smile. If you see them as enemies, be ware. That's what they are for.

You don't necessarily have to have a quote block for everything.

I think they should put them back in, maybe make them stand around in taverns and travel from town to town as other characters like the book merchants do. There's plenty of space in the taverns, the upper rooms are almost always completely empty, and it does feel kinda weird and disconnected to have named NPCs who serve as nothing more than arena bosses.

At least Xerina doesn't cheat like Dranton... I swear he bribes the tournament judges so that he gets a bye into the next round even though he got knocked out early on and so that in the final round I end up on foot with a bow while he's mounted with a sword and shield. Grmph.

With you it's not a chance. If you knock out three or more enemies, you will continue, otherwise you're out. NPCs continue despite having been knocked out before they even had the chance to take a swing at somebody.
