I never played the first of the series, but I did spend countless hours playing X2: The Threat.

X3: The Reunion is (from what I've read so far) going to be X2 with a better engine, more ships, and more realistic everything.

The release date is 10/17 at the moment.

Anyone else looking forward to this game?

I'm disappointed that they still can't manage to make visitable planets into the game. I mean Elite did that what, nearly 20 years ago? Instead of new funky winky shiny graphics I'd rather have a little bit more depth in the game...

... but yes, I'll probably buy it, simply because I love building my own empire/economy system.

yup X2 was great, but i couldnt seem to get anywhere on it after a while cause whenever i raised my rank to do a high paying job the requirements went up as well then my compuetr buggered up and i lost everything

I stopped playing because of the frames/second, because stupid little me put like 40 factories (or whatever they are called) into one sector to make the supply routes as short as possible. Long story short, my FPS were below 1 i believe.

i loved playing X-2, gave up in the end cos i was bored of just using the time compression to make millions of moneys while i went to my real job, and then finding that my pc crashed during the day...
stupid computers...
