Quarterfinals up and OP updated


Sorry about the delay, we had a little situation with losing 7eCie vs IW logs. Normally what I'd do in that situation is just manually count kills and deaths from the screens and manually create a table in the weekly stats, but they wouldn't be integrated into the db so those stats wouldn't count towards player stats in the OP. So, i decided to take a bit of time to create a script to fake the match logs from the info on the screens, so that i can parse it properly into the database and have the stats count in the OP tables as well. It took me a little bit of extra time to code, and easter didn't help, but i think it's worth it since i'll be able to use it in future every time we lose a log file which sadly does occasionally happen, tho thankfully rarely.

NOTE: it isn't perfect since the screens are sometimes taken with a bit of delay after the last live round is complete so they may contain some extra deaths and/or tks. I can't really see tks from screens or tell who died after the live round, so the number of kills and deaths from the screens might not always match perfectly. I tried to tackle this issue by randomising death order to make it fair.

Is it just me or are the division statistics a bit fooked up now? With the exception of the Champions final stage, since that all consists out of players from 1 division, all the other divisions are now mixed up, yet stats are still being reported in the so-called division the players were playing in, eventhough the skillcap has become hugh in some matches. Statistics now no longer represent whatever happend in the divisions over the last weeks. Maybe keep those two stages seperate?

Nevertheless, still appreciate the time and effort you put into this. Thanks for that!

Regarding the division overviews... tournament formats have become really.... unique lately so it's a bit hard to adapt to them but since there was no real promotion week etc i decided to just leave them as they were originally, seems like a bit of an overkill to add four more threads for the knockout stage its gonna be messy. Altho i could do it if there's really interest in that!

I find that damage is a better indication of how well someone is doing over KD, hard to fit it in with limits in post length but I wouldn’t mind seeing more of it. Stats are mostly just for fun anyway but might be worth considering

More of it where tho? There's already damage and assists (which are closely linked to damage) instead of k/d in the weekly stats and in the hall of fame.


Only place i could think of adding it to is player stats table but my thoughts are that assists might be more appropriate there since damage kinda tends to become a bit... less readable the more matches that are played. Like if someone has 800dmg in a match or 300 dmg it kinda gives some indicator of how well they did, but when you see a number like 6000 damage, i feel it maybe loses its meaning a bit, which is why i put assists in player table instead cuz like... 22 assists is still pretty readable, and gives similar information as damage does.
