Would you mods please stop locking complaint threads?

I'm really getting sick of this "crying won't fix the bugs sooner" followed by the constant locking of thread.  You mods know who you are.

For one thing, that's totally freaking unprofessional to call a bunch of paying customers whiners or say they're crying.  It's okay if other users say it, but not moderators or admins who are part of the face of the company.

Second, people are pissed at the state of this game.  They want and need a place to vent their frustrations.  Taking that away from them won't make matters better, but worse.  Far worse.

Third, crying just MIGHT get the bugs fixed sooner.  The devs need to know people are pissed and specifically what they're pissed about.  The squaky wheel gets the oil.  Being quiet about it certainly hasn't worked, has it?

Finally, what the hell do you care anyway if people want to complain?  This is a forum for a game.  The game is buggy as hell.  If Taleworlds doesn't want paying customers to complain, then they shouldn't put a forum up.

Buggy games are bad enough, but when you start getting heavy-handed, dictatorial mods who get some kind of rush out of locking threads (as this one will be locked), the game company gets a bad reputation fast.  I mean real fast.

But you mods don't care about the good of the company, do you?  You're having too much fun paying us customers back for all the bullies who pounded you on the head when you were young.  Grow a pair, man up, learn to take some criticism (or let customers rightly criticize a buggy game for being buggy) and stop being little freaking Mussolinis.  FRICK there's nothing more frustrating than admins who are so piss poor at what they do, who are such horrendous "people persons", that rather than doing their job, moderating the forums, calming people, being the voices of reason, they just lock, lock, lock.  Oh, wow, you're impressive.

Now lock away, warn away, ban away or whatever you have to do.  I knew when I began writing this message that spineless creatures will do what's in a spineless creature's nature.  And whatever smart/cute little internet moderator quips you make prior to locking this thread, just remember two things: it's easy to feel big when you have the power to say the last word and then lock something.  Second, I'll go on with my life, but you'll still have the sad distinction of being the kinds of people who part your hair like dorks, put on your poindexter glasses and checkered pants, then stand in a bar telling ladies: "Yeah, I moderate an internet forum.  It's pri-tee important stuff."

Okay, i am bored enough.

That would be me.

Being a paying customer doesn't give you any rights here on TW forums. And i am not face of the company.

Second, people are pissed at the state of this game.  They want and need a place to vent their frustrations.  Taking that away from them won't make matters better, but worse.  Far worse.
They can vent whatever they want but not all over the forums. At first glance i can see 2-3 open threads about the next patch.

Third, crying just MIGHT get the bugs fixed sooner.  The devs need to know people are pissed and specifically what they're pissed about.  The squaky wheel gets the oil.  Being quiet about it certainly hasn't worked, has it?
No it won't, posting bugs and providing info, savegames, screenshots will.

Finally, what the hell do you care anyway if people want to complain?  This is a forum for a game.  The game is buggy as hell.  If Taleworlds doesn't want paying customers to complain, then they shouldn't put a forum up.
Again, o complain all you want but not all over the place.

Buggy games are bad enough, but when you start getting heavy-handed, dictatorial mods who get some kind of rush out of locking threads (as this one will be locked), the game company gets a bad reputation fast.  I mean real fast.
No i won't lock this one, it resembles a valid complaint.
I don't really get a rush out of locking threads but i get pissed when i am looking at 10 different threads on exactly the same thing.

But you mods don't care about the good of the company, do you?
I do, that's why i am trying to keep the forums clean.

You're having too much fun paying us customers back for all the bullies who pounded you on the head when you were young.
I wasn't really bullied growing up, was surrounded by sissies i suppose.

Grow a pair, man up, learn to take some criticism (or let customers rightly criticize a buggy game for being buggy) and stop being little freaking Mussolinis.
Once more, do criticize all you want but not all over the place.
Mussolini? I am disappoint, i was hoping for a Hitler.

FRICK there's nothing more frustrating than admins who are so piss poor at what they do, who are such horrendous "people persons", that rather than doing their job, moderating the forums, calming people, being the voices of reason, they just lock, lock, lock.  Oh, wow, you're impressive.
My primary "job" is to keep the forums clean, if you post 10 different threads on same subject it gets little messy.

Now lock away, warn away, ban away or whatever you have to do.
I am just gonna move this thread to the Realm.

I knew when I began writing this message that spineless creatures will do what's in a spineless creature's nature.
Oooh and warn you for that, not cool man.

And whatever smart/cute little internet moderator quips you make prior to locking this thread, just remember two things:
Coming up!

it's easy to feel big when you have the power to say the last word and then lock something.
It makes me sad really.

Boo-hoo! You showed me man!

If you really care about getting your voice heard by devs why don't you post here http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,115132.msg2777823.html#msg2777823 where an actual dev responded?

How many threads do you really need? If i were you i would focus on one and keep it populated instead of 15 different ones.

I wish i had those poindexter glasses, i can't really get laid without any:sad:

Kleid, my man, you'll always be a little hitler to me! Don't worry about what this guy thinks.

Isn't the Warband bug tracker still around? That is where the bug reports are supposed to go. Don't complain about the mod team because they're doing their jobs.

I also find it particularly amusing that you choose to vindicate whoever called you a whiner by making a thread just to whine. Can I pay you to join in on my opponents' side in arguments?

Sure he's being a bit whiny, but he kind of has a point on the bug reporting. I reported one here, and one on the bug tracker and to be entirely honest, I prefered posting it here. The bugtracker does it's job and I'm sure it helps the Devs loads, but it's a tad more encouraging to point out a bug and have others back you up about it.

No mod doesn't even touch bug reports on the forums, we don't close them, we don't call them whiners, we only point them to bugtracker where devs can see it faster.
This thread is about this, and this and this.

This thread is about this, and this and this.

I never said you did call them whiners. I'm not as regular in the warband area as I should so I wouldn't know.

All I was saying is I can see why he would want to put bug reports on the forum. Yay, bugtracker is great and helps out the development team, but some bug reporters would prefer the more social, albeit less useful, way.

Looking at those examples, I'm not against any of those threads being locked, but you could have been nicer about it.

And i am saying bug reports are perfectly fine, i don't even touch them.

Yeah i could have been nicer, it was my period or something i guess.

I'm confused on why you'd think we care.
For one thing, that's totally freaking unprofessional to call a bunch of paying customers whiners or say they're crying.  It's okay if other users say it, but not moderators or admins who are part of the face of the company.
A) We don't get paid for this ****, we do it in our own free time. You want to take a wild guess at precisely how motivated I am to spend my free time listening to the fiftieth muppet who is either completely blind or otherwise incapable of understanding the concept of posting in existing threads, whining about something which has otherwise been answered around sixty times already or otherwise asking stupid questions like patch release dates?
B) If you want to talk to the company, the devs have accounts on this forum. They also have several email addresses you can use. Dig deep enough and I'm sure you could even get a postal address and telephone number. This on the other hand is a forum for fans to discuss the game. You want to see an official face of the company you can go to the website. You want to talk to soaped up homosexuals you probably don't want to know better you can come to the forum. I'm not sure precisely what part of this concept is difficult to understand.
C) If the devs had a problem with it, I'm sure they'd have brought it up in the past six years or so. They haven't.
Third, crying just MIGHT get the bugs fixed sooner.  The devs need to know people are pissed and specifically what they're pissed about.  The squaky wheel gets the oil.  Being quiet about it certainly hasn't worked, has it?
Shouting about it won't either. In the first case, the Devs have better things to do than read every single thread on this forum. That's why they have a bug tracker. In the second, 90% of the bugs being complained about are not bugs, but ****wits who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a computer, or for that matter anything more complicated than an abacus, unsupervised. Glitched quests, memory leaks and missing items the devs can fix in a patch, explaining to someone precisely how to configure Windows or update their graphics driver is something you're expected to know already. If you don't, that's why they invented consoles.
And the patch will be released when they deem it done. Whining about it, demanding a release date and similar won't change that. They're not going to start pulling 24 hour shifts just because some impatient brat is complaining about a bug they want fixing or the like. Particularly since they don't actually get anything out of patching, and they could be spending the time they're taking on the patch producing another game which will get them something. I'll let you work out what happens to their motivation to continue supporting the game when all they get is a bunch of ungrateful ****s whining that their pet bug is still there or they haven't added their pet suggestion.
Yeah, you were doing fine until you got to this part. Small penis giving you problems? Incoherent American who simply doesn't grasp the fine art of communication? Frustrated impotence finally getting to your head?
Yup, throwing around insults like some two year old whose been told it can't have a chocolate bar really emphasises your point and encourages me to take you seriously. Up until this point I was half convinced you were joking, but since you've so excellently proved your own people person skills I can now see I must rush into action and reform my brother admins lest you question my sexuality
I mean seriously, what the **** are you expecting here? Obviously you've figured out we don't particularly give a **** about yours or for that matter anyone else's opinion, so if it's point scoring you're only shooting for your own goal. If it's intended motivation then you've either got serious masochistic tendencies or you've never been told the whole flies and honey thing, and if it was some failed attempt at internet hardman-ness it generally works better if you don't sound like some basement dwelling teen who spends far too much time with Madame Palm and not enough in the fresh air.
Jealous because they still get more ***** than you?

Which one, the "If we gave a **** about your opinion you'd have a red flag" or the "If you don't like it here feel free to **** off at any time" one?

Both work, but I meant the first one.

I sincerely hope you can't. No offense mate, but you seem to have a bit of a temper and, not to mention, you're terminally stupid. You've also basically made death threats already. I'd fear for my e-life the moment you get a red-and-yellow pennant.

Not while I'm still breathing, no. Come to that my reanimated zombie would probably come back from the grave solely to object too.
