Would this be possible?

I was wondering if there would be a way to have multipler characters associated with a single save file.  Like if you could switch from your captain with his high leadership skills, to your archer, or jouster.  They'd share money and soldiers, and you could trade items between them, but they'd have their own skills.

Just thought it'd be a nifty feature, and nice to not have to load a save file if you switch characters.

could be, but seeing as it isn't in-game now, and more a feature you'd wish implemented, this should be in the suggestion forum.

yeah, nowadays you've got to go to the privy council or whatever it's called. Sorry, forgot to mention.

I'm personally against this - for the reason that it takes the immersion away from the player and gives it too much of an 'arcade' feel. You sort of no longer exist in a virtual world, you just button mash on different chars (kind of why I didn't like 'Breed' too much)

I always wanted to create 2 accounts, and then move one of them to the other, therefore making a homemade NPC; of course, there would need to be some prerequisites so people dont give a level 7 an ally with an ass kicking level like 45.

but still, you could make an army of custom name guys with all custom stuffs.... or wait till they make more npcs...

Damned fine point, Völkerpferd. I shall mend my previous statement into "Get lost, foo'!".

Who the hell is this guy?

I think you misinterpreted what I meant.

I don't mean to be able to switch to Borcha or Marnid or something, but to have a second character that you could play as independently.  The only intereaction between your characters would be trading or when you switch between them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you'd basically create multiple characters at the beginning of the game IWD-style instead of a single character. You could then switch between them on the world map, and you could trade items and henchmen between them (?)

Well, currently the average M&B player who wants to get Uber NPC caracters can easily clone Marnid/Borcha/Ymira or play with Band of Warriors' bunch of NPCs. I'd actually really appreciate the opportunity to choose whether I'd want it or not.

Good idea.

It means "People's Horse", dumbass.

What means that, try to express yourself like humans do, talking in riddles like a smartass annoys me, so please respect my sensitive mind.

The idea sure would make making M&B videos a lot easier/more interesting.

Allright, sounds good

You could export the character your playing, then import another and continue on the same game, which is similar to what you request I think.

To expand on the idea, it would also be cool if those same characters would wander around on the world map.  If one character is Swadian, and the other Vaegir, you could even have a battle between them.  Your various characters could be generals, bandits, or NPC's in towns.  Be pretty nifty.  The problem would be, how would this impact the seperate save files?  Well, simply, it wouldn't.  Player characters would be uncapturable, and unkillable.  They'd respawn from a town if they're defeated, with everything they had from the current save file (20 knights, 10 archers, etc.) minus Marnid and Borcha since they're unique.

You could even include a basic AI to their map movement, so if their current standing contradicts the save file, they'd return to a town to respawn.

Be pretty cool.  Encourage people to create more and varied characters.

This would make no sense. How can you fight yourself?
