İt must be major factions at the ww3...

I have two banners done but I need to know the correct size Z x Z amount.

Also they are animated though I can "un"animate them.

Wow this mod looks like it will be fun! An interesting faction would be a coalition of the US, the UK, Canada, and ANZAC? A sort of Anglo-sphere coalition if you will.

Perhaps, since this is set in the future, you could add a custom faction? A rebel nation, per se. I don't know.

That might actually work! Of course, it would definitely have all the separate factions as allies, or maybe one big faction with a custom name.

Thought of, and I need good ideas for a rebel nation, equipments, etc.

Well, a simple way to choose the most important factions in a military point of view would be to to pick the ones with nuclear weapons : not that I would like seeing them in the game, that would be to much work for less fun, but that represents the military development. Now these are :
Russia, USA, UK, France, China, Pakistan, India, Israel, North Korea.
If you want to do a "World War" these must be in, as they are also some of the most important military powers.

Other factions could be Turkey, Iran, Germany, Canada... As there must be an arab nation, why not Saudi Arabia ? Or some sort of north-African confederation ?
Also, I don't know why you want Germany in so much, forgetting about major military powers as France or Israel... Germany has not even a professional army, they are conscripts since 1945.

PS: first post

Germany got the best engineer, Scientist and weapon production. China and the Arabian room use the engineers for their high rises and buildings (Example: Burdsch Chalifa) and half of the weapons of the USA is a import from H&K (Heckler & Koch)
Germany paid the most part of the Money packet to greek
Don't call germany into question.

EDIT: Military is not the most important thing
        It's the money

Wait a sec. If it's going to be a world war why not add a bunch of factions? Europe 1200 has managed, with patience, to add beyond 30 factions. I myself have about 14 on my mod.

Now, the idea: We could choose a part of the world to set the war. Not the entire world because
1: it would be too many factions
2: cause MaB works with a Map instead of with a globe, and you wouldn't be able to conect the end of the maps.

And the we would have several options:
1: make all the factions which appear
2: Make the most important factions and leave the nonbatling ones as part of a single faction called 'Neutral Countries'. The ones could even form some sort of Peace Alliance or even be the remaining ones of the UN.

Area I suggest:
North South: from Canada to Brasil
West East: From the California to the end of Iran.

Possible battling factions (alliances in colour):
Canada, United States, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Brasil, United Kingdom, Spain, Maroc, France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Grece?, Turkey, Lybia, Tunis, Egypt, Israel, Palestine, Ukraine, Finland?, Sweden, Russia, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia.
-Alliances could break and change to make the game more fun.
-Maybe making some central Europeans be from the other side?

About armies:
-The number of soldiers per army could be raised, but still kept sort of low, just in representation of the real troops. Cause if not it would be crazy.
-Battlemaps could be changed as well, making them bigger.
-Like in Europe 1200 sea travel could be enabled, making it possible for countries like the US bring troops to Europe, etc.

About the player:
-The player could be set so that it starts as a commander from the country he chooses, starting with a good army and going directly to war.
-He could be given the option of betraying his country as well, and setting his own faction.

Now you wait a sec. Why is there a question mark after Finland?  But I agree with you about your other points, like that the map should be somehow restricted. We`ve already had two World Wars, and neither saw any fighting in a huge part of the world, for example in the Americas.

Am I questionning its presence ? I was just saying that people in previous posts looked like they ignored that France, in terms of military budget, is the third power of the planet, and that it developped its own nuclear weapons by its own means. But you look like you know all of that and I think you will agree that representing a "World War" without France is quite weird.
Economics should also be represented, but in a different way ; maybe by changing the nature of merchants so that Germany's role can be accurately represented ?

Agree about the concept of world map, but about alliances, having only two in the case of such a still big map ? They are morever quite weird...
I would like to see a scenario like north-east asia, like North Korea invading the south and a big mess of many alliances of different powers trying to get something from it

Well, European armies could deploy their forces in Korea... What I fear is big cities represented as Villages on a big scale map. I don't want Barcelona or Hamburg as villages

I was thinking about having several strong alliances between a few countries and then a weaker coalition between the warring sides.

@Mawali: world map icons would need redone so that there are cities and military bases. Villages would not make sense in this scale.

@ithilienranger :
Well, it is a good idea, but it would need to completely change how the Villages/Bases work, and I don't kow if it is easily done...
Some factions (like Iran) are great diplomatic powers but not much military or economic... Has anyone any idea how it could be represented ?

That isn't a problem. You would only need to represent a part of the city, a street or smth, isntead of the whole city.

suggestion 1:
I think if the character creates his own faction then he should be able to create his own troops, for example.

Ship in a certain kind of gun for money then arm your troops with them, the item could be 'shipment of weapons M16' (for example) then the character gives the military head the shipment, and he gives that gun as an option for arming the troops, then name them! so, waddya think?

Same goes for body armour.

Suggestion 2:
I think the character should start with a Revolver, desert eagle, or other, depending on what start they choose, different clothes depending on were they come from, and what they do.

I also think the character should start with a hamburger as food
