Hi there!

I have searched for the past two weeks on this forum for an answer. Very few people have the same problem like me, but it is really annoying because I really want to make my own mod. That just ain't a possiblity if I cant even make the map.

Here are my pc specs:

Intel Core 2 Dou 1,66 GHZ
3 GB RAM
250 Harddisk
Ati mobility radeon 2600 HD Graphic card.
I Use Version 1.012 (the newest version) on both steam version and standalone version.

This Is what I've fixed:

All of the Error messages no longer popsup

This is my problem:

When ever I leftclick anywhere on the map in the map editor, the map editor freezes, and I cant start all over. Not that I have edited anything, cause I can't because it freezes all the time.

I've tried the following:

Reinstalled Mount and blade 3 times,
Reinstalled The world editor 5 times
Installed the standalone Mount And Blade (I used that from steam before) NO LUCK
Update and Downgraded my graphic card drivers.
Edited settings.cfg
Moved the world editor to the base of the Mount and blade directory.
Runned the it as Adminstrator.
Ran it in Windows XP SP 2 support mode.

I really can't think of anything else to do right now. So if anyone of you out there have any suggestion/ideas/solousions I would be really happy

Regards Albert

EDIT: Now it works, I just had to install windows 7. Awesome.

yea. I had the same problem in the beginning. But don't worry in a while you'll get it like I have it....

It don't even starts and the whole computer freezes. But if you let it load for about 5 hours the editor window shows up. But it freezes directly as fast as you click on something.

Well, first of all, you should not conclude that vista is the problem. Since it obviously is not.

Orly?

Yeah well, I've seen that the few people who had this problem, all used vista, and there is no where it says it works with vista, so yes im just guessing. Im just trying to install windows 7 rigth now to solve this problem, I will reply to this post again if it has been solved by that.

Well, look at the poll. Vista is not the problem. I have vista, no problem. So that's excluded. That some of those with the problem had vista was certainly a coincidence and people certainly have the same problem on XP etc.

So would probably a vista reinstall.

Well Im not trying to make a flame out of this, but I actually reinstalled my pc this weekend, but that didn't help, I guess I need some sort of program/codec/compiler or something maybe support for some programming language. But now it works. All who have the same problem as I, could try windows 7.

Have you tried turning the user account contols off? I have a vista and until I turned them off the map editor wasn't working. I also restarted the computer.
