Need More Info [Workaround][Gamebreaking] Cannot proceed past certain day

Cannot proceed past summer 11-12 of first year. Game crashes whether waiting through normal time or through time speed. Safe mode does not assist with problem.

Number of occurrences: 6 (I am able to reproduce consistently) 100% rate of reproduction for me.

Edit: Current consensus seems to point to a faulty quest timer in which the player has to complete certain quests before the timer runs out. The only workaround at the time appears to be finishing or abandoning the quest(s) before the timer runs out.

Quests that may be affected appear to be a quest to kill poachers, and others are possibly bugged as well.

@bluesnacks, do you have a quest to kill poahers? potetentially is the time out on it 0 or negative when this happens? And by anychance is it for a town called dradios from someone in jamalrys?

I have a poacher quest with NEGATIVE 8 days. (Around day 112 in campaign.) Upon taking the poacher quest, it is already at -8 days. Talking to the quest giver does not give an option to abandon the quest, unfortunately.

I've got a fix! It might apply to you, I'm not sure. Worth a try until it's patched, it helped me.

I got this same bug too, I took the quest near midnight for a town a little far, with the quest being due that same midnight- I couldn't make it to the town in time before the day ended, game crashed before getting there. Village wasn't raided - I was just outside of riding distance.

Fix? Turn on Cheat Mode on Documents/Bannerlord/engine_config to 1 instead of 0. Save it. Reload the game.

Then, control click right next to the village targetted - you should be able to interact with it before the day's end and fulfill the quest.

Save again, then leave, diable cheat menu and log back on. That last step is optional if you'd like.

Same issue with the poacher quest, unfortunately the fix above doesnt work for me as the cheat menu doesnt want to enable, apparently a new save is needed before it will take effect

Hi all thanks for the replies.

I cannot say whether or not I had the poacher quest specifically -- unfortunately it was on an autosave which was overwritten ( I had thought all characters had their own saves). I believe I had a quest to clear a town (the town was being raided by a third party at the time), and a delivery quest to Pen Cannoc.

However, my last save was a few days earlier (summer 7) and I can confirm I did not have any side quests at that time and was able to progress past Summer 11-12. It may be related to several types of quests.

For the cheat mode, you have to save that config file (Control+S) before closing it, and NOT launch the game in safe mode. That should keep it on.
Last I checked, devs are already all over this issue, it'll probably get patched tomorrow

I have the same issue, i believe its a quest that's bugged. I literally just picked it up and it has a day timer of -3. i can move outside the city for about 2 seconds in any direction before the game crashes and tries to send an error report, that also fails (lol) waiting in town has no effect, asking the quest giver for more time does not work. There's no way to cancel the quest and basicly this means my save file is corrupted.

While trying to apply the cheat, time is afternoon and I can not pass tonight. And is that only mission cause problems? Those failed files have to fix by TaleWorlds.

Sadly the answer for me was to simply revert to a save pre-quest. I suggest to everyone that you simply keep a save game of the state before every quest you take so if this happens again you don't have to go back very far. This is less intrusive a fix than using cheat panels i think.

I have a poacher quest out of Jalmarys for a town called ?Dairdos? and i am having this same crash, also with a failing crash report. I can move or wait for about 2 seconds and then freeze and crash.
