Hey guys, just introducing our new 32 player Capture the Flag server. We're hosting seven custom maps designed or redesigned specifically for the CTF gametype and hope to be getting more maps as time goes on.

Our server settings are set to twenty minute rounds with a 10 point capture limit. Respawn times are set to 15 seconds.

We're hoping to get some good quality CTF gameplay going most of the time and also hosting larger community events. Additionally the server can also be used for hosting the infamous Deathball gametype.

The Maps
Bridge Ruins

This is one of our larger maps and features a devastated valley pock marked by ruins and bridges. Each spawn is completely protected nearby the flag while the flag itself is raised on a platform. Apart from the large central bridge you can also get across the shallow part of the river below. Additionally there are two bridges on the flanks of the map which are one way only, permitting attackers to come across but not retreat with the flag.

This is a small urban map based in a snowy town with a castle. Each team spawns nearby their flag which is on a raised podium. Each flag area has good spots for archers but quite wide entrances. The centre of the map is controlled by two heavily fortified choke points each of which favours one team.

New Nord Town

This is a modified version of the original map which has been redesigned for CTF gameplay. Spawns have been moved to the graveyard and the area of trees at the highest point of the map. Flags have been moved up onto the walkway area and an additional access has been added to each walkway. Glitches have been fixed and the central platform is now cut off so you can't drop down. Finally the wall area has a ladder going up to it so it has an additional access point.

New Village

Another remake of the map, this moves the flags up into the towers above the gates. The controllable gate has been removed along with some ladders and a portion of the outer wall has been destroyed so that access routes are roughly equal. Each flag has one ladder access from the outside with two on the inside. Spawns have been moved to the barn and the roof of a building.

Harbour Assault

This is a small urban map with very fast gameplay, each teams flags spawns on a bridge connected to a tower. Apart from the direct route through the market area, there is also a back street route as well. Spawns on this are in an area behind each flag zone.

Fortbridge

This is also a larger map that has more room for cavalry play. The map is divided by an impassable river which is bridged at two places. Each castle has three entrances all of which do not allow cavalry access. Flags are at the back of each castle while spawns are above the gate.

This is a small snowy map with identical symmetrical forts. This one has a lot of good sniping spots but also three front entrances and a rear entrance for attackers to get in. Players spawn at the back towers and near the courtyard. Flags are on the central platforms.

Mind If I make a map?

I was working on a CTF map, it would be like Blood Gulch from Halo: Combat Evolved.

Blood Gulch

2 bases, flag in the middle of the base, and a hilly field in the middle with walkways across the mountains to the sides.
 
I have created the two bases on the Blood Gulch map, instead of the flag being inside like on Halo, it will be on top, with multiple ladders round the bases.

I still have to work on the middle, making small hilly bits making it harder for horses to get across, and the side path ways on the mountains.

is the tunnel think viable?
 
Right, so it turned out the maps in Warband were too small for what I wanted, so AZAN showed me the single player scene editor thing where I can make the map bigger.

The map isn't exactly like Blood Gulch I'm afraid, there are alot more hills, and it's more compact.

I only need to add a bit of scenery and foliage and the spawn points and flag.

I'll post some screenies tomorrow.

Oh god, that's a great idea,

That will be my third map if I can find a way to do it, probably won't be hard with the arabian props.

Including the Blood Gulch map, I was also starting a Halo Infinity map: http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Infinity

It will have the same basic layout, but obviously different props.
