Introduction
Check out last seasons Knights of Malta vs. Men of Borr | Warband's most storied competition returns once more... It has been over a year now since the last season of the Warband Native League. We think that is already longer than it should have been, so here we are! With this, it's 7th Season, the Warband Native League will be hitting an incredible 6 years of competition and we hope with our format changes this will be the best one yet. When we were discussing recent developements and the current state of the scene, we acknowledged that Warband has to come back to its roots: Providing competition and accessibility for every team at every level for them to be able to grow and experience a tournament packed with close matches over its entire duration. What's new? Therefore, this year we will be reintroducing a divsion based format, with a swiss-style system for automatic fixture creation. We will also introduce mid season promotion matches, giving the top runners of the lower divisions a chance to grap the spots of the bottom runners of the higher divisions. After regular ladder stage, Divsion A will enter into a knockout stage, the other divisions will keep playing to determine the final standings and post season promotions. The final standings will then be used for the initial seeding of WNL8, so there is a reason for every single team to stick around and keep playing. We hope this format will provide every player at every level with the opportunity to play exciting and competitive matches throughout the tournament. |
