Alright I took the time from the spawns to the different flag positions.

Spawn 1 - Flag 1 = 21s

Spawn 2 - Flag 1 = 23s

Spawn 1 - Flag 2 = 14s

Spawn 2 - Flag 2 = 12,6s

Spawn 1 - Flag 3 = 29,03s

Spawn 2 - Flag 3 = 22,5s

That's just the amount of time you need if you run to the flags after spawing. With different positioning the amount will increase or decrease, depends.

I also noted down the time from the spawn to the hill on Dry Valley.

Spawn 1 - Hill = 45,14s

Spawn 2 - Hill = 46,85s

So the flags aren't as far apart as it is seen on Dry Valley.

I've been speaking about this map with Maynd and Arch3r, took their tips, mixed it up, and this is the result.  :smile:

An open/mixed map, 3 flag spawns, shouldn't be too big or too small for 8v8.

BLUE: Flag spawns
BLACK: Inacessable area

The overview is way too small :razz: but I saw the map on the server, and I think it's pretty cool and balanced.
 
Yea I know, I had some problems uploading it bigger to imageshack or whatever, so I've uploaded as it is and made bigger dots.  :mrgreen:

Increased the size of the island around the third flag. It's easier for cavalry to navigate now. The amount of time from the first spawn to the third flag is decreased by 5 seconds. Spawn 2 is no longer in favour.

Changelog 说:
  • Moved both spawns to different locations
  • Added Lake
  • Got rid of a lot of clutter. Previously it was too busy.
  • Moved flags
  • Flattened the main hill. No longer a tough task for cavalry. Makes the map flow.
  • However it is still high enough that you cannot see the other side of the map.
  • Both spawns given minimal, but enough cover to prevent spawn shooting and camping.
  • Opened up the map, all classes free to roam without having to navigate around annoying props. Also allows tactical flexibility.
  • Approximently 20 Seconds from both spawns to reach the middle flag taking the most direct route, non-stop. This may increase as you move as a group and carry more armour and items.
  • All flags are opened up and easily accessible from multiple angles.
