Match summary, as lust was too lazy to stream.
Fort of Honour - pre-swap [CoR as Rhodoks, AE as Vaegirs]
First round we somehow won after getting 4 teamkills in one round. This round we got an early headshot and AE was forced to fight in our crossfire, as the flag spawned in the Graveyard.
All other rounds the flag spawned nearest to the Vaegir spawn (ladder to the wall). Often AE gathered a big infantry group and rushed our group and won in generally melee fights with close results.
3-1 to AE
Fort of Honour - after-swap
Here it basically came down to staring each other down, maneuvering archers/xbows around before the flag spawned. Most rounds except for one there was little action until the flag spawned. The flag spawned most (2 or 3 rounds I think?) in the middle, at which point AE managed to exploit our crossfiring tactic by hunting one archer down in our spawn using cavalry. After this their famed cavalry + infantry wrecked us, while AE crossbows shot what they could from behind their infantry.
4 rounds to AE
Khudan Outskirts - pre-swap [CoR as Sarranids, AE as Nords]
Here CoR went cavalry and archer heavy (2 infantry, 3 cav, 3 archers) against AE who consisted of more infantry (4 infantry if I recall correctly?). CoR tried to weak AE by setting up archers on the flanks of AE. Often though, little kills were made until the actual flag spawned. AE won the first round when the flag spawned on the hill with the pig, they were already holding. The other rounds went to CoR, as Nord infantry were kited by the Sarranid archers with their high athletics and low-weight archers.
3-1 to CoR
Khudan Outskirts - after-swap
Now it was AE's turn to use flanking and crossfiring archers, with them mostly sending an archer to the left, from their spawn seen, and one on the middle hill. These rounds were pretty intense, with in the end there were skirmishes all over the place. Cavalry hunting down archers, infantry fighting on equal terms until cavalry came around or archers got a shot it. The flag must have felt pretty lonely, as it just stood there with fights all over the place, but the flag mostly ignored. I personally got disconnected twice, the first two rounds were 8v7, which was unfortunate but the score was already decided before then.
2-2 here.
