Download this version if you can, it fixes the cannon and sapper glitch in the earlier version of v4. If you get auto-kicked for cheating from a server when you try to use the sapper or artillery classes, that means that the server is still running the earlier glitched version. Jump back into the server and tell the admins to download the official fixed version.

Someone needs to decide which download is the official one. Now the download that allows the boer class doesn't work on AZW Official EU server

First of all! we really need breechloading cannons with explosive shell  :mrgreen:!
Second of all can we add gattlings? because we might stand a chance if for instance we are against 300 bots...
im not talking powerful guns just a gun that will have the firepower of lets say 30 rifles per clip. but does not have a extreme rate of fire?

3rd point is can there be more factions like france,belgians,portugal and germany?

All right, we don't much use Taleworlds Forums, but I'll try and summarize what's happening with the mod as it stands.

As of mid-last month, the AZW Team decided to go its own ways and pursue its own projects; this does NOT mean the mod is cancelled, it is on indefinite hiatus, until our own projects are completed.

Currently, v4 is the last stable release for some time. The mod isn't done, we still have a lot of work that can be done, be it balancing, modelling, and texturing. If we thought this was a finished product, we wouldn't have called it an Alpha.

Shame to see this mod left after so soon. However i do think the current server setup isn't perfect.

At the moment what happens is players face off against waves of 50 zulu's and occasionally 2-3 players on battle mode. Unless the British players are low, are in-fighting or just plain bad they should win almost every game. This is made worse by the fact that every game players simply abuse sappers abilities to make the already meager challenge even more boring.

Instead why doesn't the sever get set to 'siege' mode? Have a british flag placed in the centre of each fort. What difference would this make?

Well first of all players would have to actively defend a location rather than block themselves in. In addition the amount of zulu's would increase from 50 a round to effectively unlimited (as they would respawn after awhile). Players would have to think about ammo conservation, long-term defense, multiple zulu waves and the game would be much more challenging.

Really hope to see changes along these lines made as the current setup really starts to get samey after a short time.

Many of us threw easily achievable ideas at the devs (on the AZ mod sub forum on the FSE forums) to improve the mod while it was still going strong.
Alas, they took no notice of us and then, just as the mod was gathering more players and being noticed, it was announced it was not going to be worked on any more.

It was a damn shame, it had a nice group of returning players but dev abandonedment is a enormous buzzkill.
Twas  all most vexing.

The sad fact is that this mod is dead.
I went on and only 3 people were playing and it was **** because everyone team killed and there were no admins at all.
