[WIP] Orc and Armor Skin!

Well, I DLed the LOTR mod and I must say I was not overcome with delight at the skins used for the orcs. So, I decided to make some of my own:

These are based on the book rather than the movies (hence they are greenish). I used the Undead skin, and, as you can see, the untextured had been fixed. This was the hardest part, as I had to adjust the uv settings for the 3d model which involved a whole bunch of tedious work.*

*I'm kidding. I have not edited the UV settings or how the skin went on the 3d model. I stumbled across the fix (which is actually quite easy).

wow dude thats awesum! i love lotr orcs look awesome lol he kinda looks like a skeleton right now a little bit of flab around the belly would do nice

Well, I had to use the undead skins, which use the undead model, which is rather skinny. And, as you can see, the pants don't attach completely right.

I can't edit the model to make him thicker, but since orcs were weak, pathetic creatures (unlike the uruk hai), it doen't work out too bad.

With out a helm and an armor that orc looks more like a goblin, otherwise good work :p

Here's some armor:

I used the white hand as that was Saruman's symbol. I don't know how many fingers it had, so I assumed 5. I would have made it bigger but if I did the whiteness showed up on the right shoulder.

EDIT: the mail shows up more than this screenshot shows (though it's still pretty dark.)

Nice skin, but I thought the orcs were "black-skinned, black-blooded, lynx-eyed" in the book.

I thought they were, as Ilex said, "black skinned"

Perhaps darkening it a bit, so that it isnt such a bright green. BTW, what color is the Undead thingy? If it's like... blackish/some other dark color, then I might use that and make some nice Gondor vs. Isengard action~

The undead skins are reddish zombies with light yellow bones showing.

This skin could just be desaturated, if people are so hot and botherd to have blackish orcs.

Yey, saw the transparent portion near the belly area. I think the size of the texture picture isn't right, maybe you can stretch it a little longer to cover up the whole model.

It's a problem with the 3d model of the undead body, which I cannot change.

As Sina said, he quite resembles a goblin more than an orc. Would it be possible to reskin a human? Or are all humans using the same body?

Yeah, if you guys are interested, start reskinning the human model right now and then I'll add in the new model later.

Another human model would be good. That way I could make green and grey orcs. It'd be great if you could add another coat of plates model, if it's not too much trouble.
