Explain this concept of "Winter hols" for it is alien to me.

I know all about THAT.
Well, since y'all asked.
5th December I have my cat at the vets and I'm off work all week. Week after I'll be in York Mon-Wed and Friday I'll be at Trafford Center. 20th Dec I have my dog at the vets. The following week I'm back at work until 23rd Dec, then I'm off til 28th, then back at work and off New Years weekend + the following monday in lieu. Soimewhere in between all that I'll find time for Xmas shopping, mailing a dozen cards to inter-friends and picking up a new tax disc for my car.

Technically I don't get a winter holiday. I've only got 2 weeks of time off because I saved up my annual leave. And my pooter'll live. It's been alone for longer than 3 days before!
Hopefully working so I get out of hiking down to see my family over christmas.
Probably spend christmas day at the Zoo, unless the weather gets too horrendous.

Me? I got nothing much planned, try and see my girlfriend as much as possible, other than that, be lazy. Hack people in my 2 favourite combat games, Shadow of Rome and M&B - and claim a few more kingdoms in Crusader Kings.
Yupp, pretty sad.
Heading out the door right now for a few days in Florida (hope the forums survive without me). Then back to Ohio. For Christmas I head to Massachusetts to visit my parents. Should be nice.
