I thought it was common knowledge that mac's are heavily used in the graphics design etc industries as it's a lot better for that sort of thing whereas Windows is better for more general work environments and gaming?

No, you're not. Some people are just looking for an argument. Reckon I might tri-boot 7 alongside Vista and Ubuntu, my current setup. Yay for two OS-es to learn

Okay. We all know Macs are for graphics stuff. You aren't smart because you can point that out.

Now, you are WRONG about Apple. They were doing terribly throughout the 90s. Nobody wanted Macs. They created a brand new model, and it sold okay. Still, they weren't really rolling about in piles of cash. Then, two things happened. The first was the aforementioned iPod. The best of the best. All of a sudden, Apple was making more money. Apple was gaining popularity. This allowed the second thing, Intel CPUs in Macs. And it was only then that people really started buying Macs again. The iPhone has had a similar effect.

If its about Intel cpu buy a PC its cheaper...

Any way im using Windows 7 beta from december 2008 and now im on version 7100 RC and it rocks i was thinking about Mac when i had XP but the price well was to high and after Vista fixed stability problems that XP had i decied i stick with windows and good choice it was...

Any way i still recomend to use Beta RC 7100 you can use it till 2010-03 so plenty of time...after that you can buy it and from whati heard 7600 RTM works even faster than 7100
