I can't believe they have left it this late. Surely this isn't going to be left to the modders?


An 'open world' game without weather?

Surely not? Right?
 
I mean it's all there ready to go in theory. We have had that stormy MP map for years now. I dunno if TW aren't sure how to include or what.

Yes, it can't be that hard. But even if they had to write some new code. I mean even MORROWIND had cycles of rain for goodness sake
 
Would like to see some weather as well.

Would be even cooler if rain made the ground muddy and soldiers slipping, sinking into the mud an' stuff.

Yes, years ago I had imagined weather patterns showing on the map... the seasons influencing troop marching speeds... winter fog changing the effectiveness of archers.

Right now, I would just settle for some occasional rain.

I'm going to assume part of the reason it's not been included so far is for performance concerns; though I'll be honest 1.9 has been an insane improvement in that regard. So now might well be the time.
 
It's not mentioned in the future plans devblog so I would asume they don't even remember about this.
 
Its seems no one readed the future development posts...

We will see. My trust in TW ( to deliver ... or to deliver in decent time ) is pretty low. At least they mentioned it. Sure it will be post-launch though.

I have a strong feeling this console port has been devouring the teams time; I wonder if now it is done we might start to see things moving smoother. Certainly the last update was prompt - and progressive.
 
They mentioned it in the Steam post about post-release developments. I assume it was related to performance, and since 1.5.x we've come a huge way in performance so I assume we will see it eventually.
 
So far they have announced anything, so I would guess there is no weather.

There are mods out there for that right now.

No rain ? I’m Gutted, mega lol it creates a bit of atmosphere/ mood to battles. This needs added for more effect pronto. Dynamic wether where it can change randomly from sunny to rain during a battle etc slight snow to blizzard.

a rain/ snow effect on the world map also would be good when raining or snowing possibly effecting troop morale ,movement speed etc. We need rain fog snow sleet lol.

I jst preordered this for ps5 looking forward to getting into it but you have no access to these fancy mods on consoles lol. I haven’t even play it yet n already I’m thinking this game needs weather badly haha

This needs added

Weather effecting battles and travel troop moral maybe troops can get sick etc and trade can be effected.hopefully this gets added But even just having some different weather happen during battles would change up the game a good bit visually jst that it’s sel

This would be brilliant certain areas on area map could Turn marshy and effect the battle for the worst or in your favour

It would be brilliant. However Taleworlds don't do brilliant. It's just not in their DNA.

They can't even bring themselves to make more than one tavern scene per culture .... or create villages and castles with some actual use or functionality.

They will probably implement a bit of rain ... and some adjusted lighting at some stage in the future. But that will be it.
