Will having more than one ship cause problems?

I hold Dorce Ceaster at the end of the Themes, and I want to have two boats, one on the Themes to travel eastward on and one around Din Draithou for trips to Ireland.  I have bought the second boat,  everything seems fine, I haven't found any discussions that this causes any problems, but wanted to check to make sure.
