hello guys.

I guess that most people in this forum is aligned with any Calradian tribe, so, i decided to open this topic to listen your stories, talk about your characters (And upload images of them if you like), and some friendly flame...

Well, I joined Rhodoks as I wanted some variation for my gameplay.

First I was using Nord warriors + vaegir marksmen combo, which got bored.
Then I tried cavalry style, and it was fun for a while.
Now I play pure-rhodok style for a while and then switch to something else.

Using only one faction/troop style/gameplay style gets really boring, so as quick as next patch comes out I surely pick other faction.

I am Forever with the mighty "V"  kiilled the world over atleast 7rel times but still... lacking some one important : ( : (

I joined the Khergit because I wanted fast cavalry charges, the Swadian charge is good and all but they can't recover for a 2nd charge as fast as the Khergits do, especially if the Khergit are all Lancers (fastest cavalry force in the game, using Coursers and 8 riding) which don't do plenty of damage, but will definitely split off Nord troops, Vaegir archers and Rhodoks (but it's harder if they're Rhodoks due to the spears). Swadians still can't be beaten by a charge pretty quickly since they always have some Knights or Men-at-arms along with their infantry.

Even  an army of monkeys commanded by a horse can beat the Nords in plain field
Anyway, Khergits are good ones, and i hate them becouse they are so nasty, but since i use a warhorse and a courser , i don´t have much problem to fight against them, slower horses are better when turning.
I don´t understan why Khergits are so menacing for Rhodoks, since a disciplined pike formation, with crossbowmen between their ranks should do the job (Since crossbows have much more reach than their bows) Its a shame that units can´t be organized in such way.

Vaegirs, Because no matter how big the force, if I have my timing right, I can win.

And my favourite colour is green.

NO Nords or Swadians?

I was with the nords, and they can´t stand heavy cavalry, if they fight like an horde. But, they were pretty useful when conquering castles. Its good to have variety. I think soon i should hire some Italian... err Rhodok pikemen

The truth! Take a small band of Knights or horsemen and while the enemy is charging your archer's position (and before they engage), hit them solidly form behind. Does wonders.

Khergits are always able to evade crossbowmen due to the speed of their horses, which is why they seem weak in sieges if you have a cluster of Vaegir archers behind walls in a siege you'll be able to slaughter Khergits easily. Although it's always a different lesson for the Nords... as usual...

Nords are annoying in sieges because almost all of them are packing a projectile weapon of some kind, mostly throwing axes and/or javelins. Now, in a field battle their range is laughable and thus moot since I can dance around them with my cavalry while my infantry close in for the kill. In a siege, however, it's a whole different ball-game. If ever in a siege with the Nords, I have learned never to let my troops climb the ramp, but to let the Nords themselves sally forth of their own accord and try to attack my men. I can then slaughter them in a field battle.

On one occasion, I had the foolishness to order my men up the ramp after my archers had thinned the Nord ranks. As soon as the first Hired Blade neared the battlements, he and several companions behind him were bombarded with all sorts of deadly projectiles, from javelins to arrows. Seeing several of my men fall dead in their tracks all at once had a certain effect on me. An effect that warranted repeated pressing of the F7 key.

Of course, I later slaughtered them when they climbed down the ladders and had fun killing the rest of the Nords that remained in the castle.

Nothing beats an archer volley in a siege, however.

Well, I always have extra units behind me, garrisoned in a castle I took before joining my faction  So I always have at least 10 Swadian Knights + 30 - 50 Hired Blades along with Khergit Veteran Horse Archers. To me, I'd only need my eight companions to clear the way for a siege, once they're upstairs my infantry can get in (due to the fact that my companions all have two Huscarl's Shields) and then slaughter the Nords easily.

Swadians? With balls?

At least they are not the ones who always finish with their ass kicked.

Maybe, but since crossbows have more reach, i guess that the only thing that a mounted archer can get if getting near such formation is a bolt in his horse or himself, imagine what can he get if he reaches his bow´s reach point.

Why you joined them?

The voices told me to do so.

Maybe...
But i have never seen bandits holding castles, or even kicking someone´s ass, they can´t even defeat nords even wih cavalry,

... And roads don't do anything.

Being athe king of such useless thing is like pretending the Valhalla for raiding a few churches and villages, killed a few harmless monks, farmers and raping their women while stealing their silver. Even Odin is disappointed of you.
