Why Sturgia often grows weak, Khuzait often grows strong

To give weak factions like Sturgia some advantages and strong factions like Khuzaits some difficulties?
At first they need to get rid of +20% cav bonus to balance autocalc and add snow penalty to balance speed. And then lets see.

Started a new campaign in beta 1.4.1, went intentionally to Sturgians to join them as a mercenary (so I could see their kingdom stats). The most influential clan in the whole kingdom has 311 influence points (LOL), the ruler clan has ~100 points (ahaha). Because of that every army getting dispersed way before they reach any target on the map. They barely have any money, they have wars with 4 factions (South Empire, Vlandia, Khuzaits and Battania) and peace proposal support with any of these factions is about 11% for each. My assumption is that they will be wiped out again.

What if the map wrapped around like in civilization. It would give the Khuzaits something to think about, if Dethert's stack could turn up at Ortongard at any moment. It would give the Vlanidans something to think about too, maybe they could be kept busy long enough for Rag to retake Varcheg once in a while.

Heresy! Everybody knows that Calradia is flat!!

Just kidding, that actually sounds like it would be cool. I don't know how easy it would be for them to implement though.

Exactly what I was thinking. Haven't discovered that the earth is round yet. They will fall of the end if they go too far.

Are Vlandians even good sailors? They probably wouldn't get far with all those Sea Raiders swarming around. At least they don't have to worry about Khuzaits stepping foot on a boat.

Regarding the influence: could you list which policies they have enacted? In an other thread about this subject I posted something similar (here). Started another playthrough (1.4.1) since then - in this one Sturgia has not enacted a negative influence policy (yet) and is doing much better (even in continuous war against 3-4 other kingdoms, because you know, 1.4.1).

Sturgia is still probably one of the weakest playable factions, it would be great to have seen more out of Sturgia. I personally followed this helpful guide, and started playing as Battania. I love their celtic aesthetic.
