Why some parents need to be shot

How would you go about helping that child, then? You put her on a diet, she'll probably die. You feed her differently, she'll probably die. Feed her more, she'll certainly die. There is no way of helping her, really. If she weighs more than Mike Tyson at seven years of age, there is simply no way for her to get rid of that.

You don't have problems with vets putting down animals when there is no kinder way of treating them, do you? That's all humans are; animals. And this one is a particularly large animal in a particularly large amount of distress.

Humansa are animals, and my dad is a vet, and I've seen animals put down before. It bothers me, but I know its the right thing, because they're suffering. But who said the girl was suffering? Is she living in pain like a dog that has a serious disease.

Have you seen the video? She can barely walk, has to drag her carcass around and have everything done for her because she's physically incapable of doing otherwise. While that's not a problem for me in someone with a birth defect, which happens, that is simply unnatural and cruel.

Maybe we should let her decide. Ask her if she wants to keep living, and if she says no, sentence her to death.

After reading all these posts, I am happy that I didn't watch that video.

I am 180 cm tall and she weights about 3.5 times as much as I do. I wonder if she has tried suicide or if she is capable to commit suicide with all that fat. Sick.

I don't think anyone was actually serious about shooting her or her mother (at least I hope not). Why would someone want to shoot her, anyway? She is not beyond recovery, and she does not seem unhappy (but probably will be, as she approaches puberty -- supposing she lives that long). She should be forcibly taken away from her mother, though.

She's human, and young, in addition to being fat. The first is enough, but the others
