Why so much hate for this game?

Users who are viewing this thread

i get it that People want the New update even I do but we where spoiled with almost daily updates in the past this refactor should allow them to focus On putting our Content updates Easier So why is everyone hating on the game?

People are hating on the game because the game is very disappointing to many people who expected a better product after all this time. Which I think is fair given how barebones and lackluster the game currently is, in conjunction with the lack of communication and specifics from TW about what they plan to do with the game.

I agree with OP. Its in EA. We have been told to not buy and wait for release if we want more than the basics.

The EA version is playable, and I think it has great potential.

Its summer. Enjoy the sun and hope that autumn brings content for rainy days. Or the release of the game itself.

I dont know about Turkey, but if this game was made in Scandinavia nothing would happen in july-august anyway. Its the summer holiday.

The mutiplayer player people are pissed since we been playing for about 11 months now and some of the things we been complaining about since day 1 is just being ignored. Also for example South Americans didn't get any servers for mutiplayer. We been asking them to lower block delay for 11 months and just now they said yeah we should probably turn it down when will it happen hopefully this month. We also been asking for Battle Mode and many other features for a long time now and just kept ignoring us till recently they seemed to talk to us but if this "big mutiplayer patch" doesn't fix the things we been talking about for 11 months were just going to rage. To put this in perspective I have 2000+ hours in mutiplayer in Warband base game non modded. Bannerlord I have 50 for the last 11 months. Same time I put over 500 in Warband. Basically if this next mutiplayer patch doesn't address the mutiplayer problems we been complaining about were rioting.

Because there are people who have too much damn time on their hands....

Why do people like calling things hate when they're not?
Hate is putting someone in a box full of bugs with there head sticking out to hear them scream and feed them while bugs slowly devour their living body.
But we want bannerlord to hurry up be free of bugs!

I thought that after the 8 or so years of development they would have at least brought the game up to a level that had at least the same features as Warband, and that they would only be doing some polishing during EA.
I thought that they took the critiques of the people who participated in the beta, and had a beefed MP experience and make it fun.
min the case of MP at least, the game is dead for now

Just here to +1 OP. I'm a long time MB fan and first time back on the forums in a while, absolutely blown away by the mid to blatant anger about things... ?‍♂️

I'm guessing most people who like the game won't bother coming to forums to post. They just keep playing the game.

Very positive reviews on Steam.

There's only a few sooks here that spew the same bitterness all over the forums like a stink that just won't dissipate, the majority of players have gotten their monies worth and now await the game to actually come out of EA.

Go read more of the forums mate, its not exactly a hidden topic.

Summary:
- All game modes were barely functional incomplete mess on release
- Next to no communication with the community during a phase in which it is usually inherent
- Patches released without notice, or apparent regard for feedback/bug reports
- Patches which consistently break large portions of the game while fixing minor obscure bugs and ignoring large game crashing ones
- The private modding community has done higher quantity AND quality work balancing and fixing the game
- We bought a game on the understanding that it was a work in progress, and a professional company who has just made millions is being out performed by unpaid passionate individuals

My guess, it's because of the same reason why there are more and more haters a few months after Diablo3 was launched:

High expectation + low replayability is how the first wave of disappointment hits;
For each update, more and more people start to pick bones from the egg, and surprisingly they actually found one piece of bone or two or even more;
Some start to share those little pieces bones on internet, and some start to look for more bones found by others on internet. Even without realising that these bones were not the reason caused their disappointment in the first place;
Then some went silence, some started to troll;
Thus the hate remains.
It's a loop that repeats itself everytime a new update was released. I'm happy that TW finnally slow down the update rate btw.

^ the problem.
casual players and devout fans defending this game from criticism it NEEDS in order to improve.

Ironically the 'trolls and haters' are trying to give feedback to help this game develop, while fans blindly and loudly state 'no problems here', accelerating this games decline into irrelevance.

My backlog is too massive for me to complain. Waiting is easy for me. I bought a new desktop specifically with Bannerlord in mind and even if it doesn't quite scratch that itch, I can always get back into my Perisno game with the latest patch or default gekokujo.

I remember playing warband in 2014 and I was irritated that I couldn't just pay off ransoms for Lords. I think they still haven't resolved that though I haven't checked. I'm useless in combat so rescue missions involve too mucy quickloading...

You forgot to mention that we didn't start to hate on the game, we gave constructive feedback and it was just as ignored as the feedback from the multiplayer beta that went on for almost a year prior to EA. Tw doesn't want constructive critique, they say they do but ignore it nonetheless which is pretty paradox
