Why No Bibliography Sticky?

I'm curious as to why this section doesn't have a bibliography sticky for users to post their "favorite" history books.  Did the moderators decide it was more appropriate to leave such information in the various threads?

I appreciate the sentiments, positive and negative, but they don't address the question.  Surely, I am not the first person to whom it has occurred that there should be a Bibliography sticky here.  That is something that is fundamental to even popular history.  If this hasn't been suggested previously, for some incredible reason, then I suggest it.

There have been a few book threads, it's just that nobody stickied any of them.

Well, that's the point.  I've already seen in some threads here and there, references to books or suggestions for reading for source material I was unaware of.  I've also seen posts (and received PMs) asking "where can I find out more about this?"  But as these are spread out all over the board, in many different subtopics, it is convenient to have a single, stickied post where all of these suggestions are gathered together.

I agree, such a sticky, and perhaps a few addressing common questions (I doubt most want another pirates vs. ninja or similar discussion.)
