Why is my faction trying to give out money when we are winning clearly?

here as you can see (you cant see lol couldn't upload the pics. If someone can help I will upload them) we are winning clearly. ( captured a city, more casualties inflicted, a lot more prisoners) yet the ai is trying to make peace as if we are losing and giving out money for the peace treaty. Why is that? Is it for like a new sort of anti snowballing? If so I think it is not a great way to resolve the problem. https://ibb.co/jzXR71J -https://ibb.co/stxvtLV ( the pics)

You can use https://prnt.sc/

But generally, without looking at your situation specifically? Because that's the money the other faction is demanding for peace. They (the other faction) are willing to keep fighting while you're coming to them, hat in hand. As for why the nobles in your faction want peace, they've probably got a fair few parties running around that are semi-depleted and garrisons that need to be firmed up in the new holdings; that makes them want peace more.

Idk it just doesn't make sense. Here (https://ibb.co/Qv2wgT1) is the other war we are in right now and even tho we are losing this one badly the tribute they want is actually less than what sturgia wants.

Which part? The war score stuff doesn't really matter unless you get to the extremes of it.

Yeah, all the stuff going on with your nobles goes on with theirs as well, so their nnobles might just want peace more (lower tribute demand).

my guess would be that the peace calculations are based around fiefs:clans.
if a faction has too many fiefs compared to clans, they are considered "an easy prey" so the other faction won't make peace with you.
if i remember correctly, war declarations are based on this mainly. my guess is peace is the same.

Basically, the fact that we are paying tributes for a war which is on the plus. Whatever that is how it is I guess. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, it might be since they were the ones declaring the war. Thanks for the info.

The problem with the tooltip is that it tends to lead to misintepretation.
It shows you the conditions given by Aserai to make peace, not what your faction wants to do.
Aserai will make peace if you pay them 1460 a day -> Your faction is not supportive of those conditions (8%).

Nah we just signed a treaty with them a couple days later. I rolled back to take the screenshot.
