im not planning on making it but why has none ever made a discworld mod. just out of intreast?

Perhaps the thought never crossed their minds, or maybe it did, but the people whos minds it did cross don't know how to mod.

Also, I don't know what that game/movie/book/show is all about, so I can't make one.

Maybe it's just not suited for a mod of M&B.

*Waits for the pratchett fans to jump all over this with extreme vegeance...*

Why is there no discworld mod?
Well, because it would be difficult to make the walking luggage, Rincewind's not working magic, trolls, the Death and L-Space.
Especially the librarian who beats up everyone calling him monkey and not orangy-tan would be difficult to create.

those are some good points but wouldnt it be great to have an army of ankar-morphoke watchmen, with captian carrot in tow.

Ok, this thing sounds rather silly.

I now refuse to read/watch/view/play this book/movie/show/game, unless you can persuade me.

They are rather silly in some aspects. Just some . Discworld books are hilarius, just read one and see. I suppose we could try and persuade you with a quote if one could be found.
And I was planning a discworld story mod which, if I will create if someone can help me with learning how to make a story based mod.

But what about your other mod that you were making?

"give a man a fire and he's warm for the night. But set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life."

The simplest way to start would be to create Ankh-Morpork first, then the surrounding Sto Plains. Depending on the scope of a mod, ships would  be needed to represent travel to Klatch, the Agatean Empire (and Bes Pelargic), or XXXX. From there comes the issues of creating assorted buildings such as the klacks, weapons including the gonne and klatchian fire engine, food items like Cut-me-own-throat-dibbler's sausage-inna-bun or knurd coffee...

Hehe, good one

Okay, Someone give me a link to this discoworld thingy. I haven't got the faintest idea about what it is.

I no longer want to know what it is....

Sounds totally strange.....

heres the link, think discworld as middle-earth meets blackadder and your half-way there.

i think somone should make this, how about the mod was set on an ankha morphoke map, with settelments reprsenting diffrent parts of the city.

factions could be:

city watch

klatch cult

gonme freedom

assians guild

thevies guild

then over time add more places.

Here are some quotes from the disc:

Patrician: I'm going to introduce a new tax. Per capita as the lawyer say and if you don't like per capita, I can happily arrange decapita. In a democracy, everyone gets treated the same.

Ankh-Morpork had dallied with many forms of government and had ended up with that form of democracy known as One Man, One Vote. The Patrician was the Man; he had the Vote.

He did of course sometimes have people horribly tortured to death, but this was considered to be perfectly acceptable behaviour for a civic ruler and generally approved of by the overhelming majority of citizens. [footnote: The overhelming majority of citizens being defined in this case as everyone not currently hanging upside down over a scorpion pit]

There were no public health laws in Ankh-Morpork. It would be like installing smoke detectors in Hell.

All dwarfs are by nature dutiful, serious, literate, obedient and thoughtful people whose only minor failing is a tendency, after one drink, to rush at enemies screaming "Arrrrrrgh!" and axing their legs off at the knee.

no offence but if think something is strange you just stay away from it you're a bit shortsighted in my opinion
i love the discworld novels but don't really think it's that suited for mount&blade unless you want to write lots of dialogues which is the only reason why the discworld is so great

Your loss, mate.  But I suggest you reconsider.  The Discworld novels are absolutely hilarious, and also very clever in their exaggeration of the ridiculousness of the real world.
