Why does Rhagaea hate me now??

Hi all,

I am enjoying M&B 2 veeery much, but there are very many questions that unfold slowly and that is fine. But one thing I don't get:
after having a few men in my party I decided to follow Rhagaea and from that point on I received 100 gold as support per day, after she conquered a city it was even gifted to me (without giving some notice?). It was captured again by the enemy.
Beeing from the Southern Empire I then thought an alliance with the Khazait would be fine so I married one of their noble woman. When I was looking in my encyclopedia right now I was noticing that Rhagaea is now my enemy with a relation of -30. Did I miss something? On one occasion I gave her my vote for a castle so I don't know what went wrong there... should I have married someone of "my" people?

Check whether the woman you married is an enemy for hers...

The friend enemy mechanic is quite... strange...

Currently I have negative relations with my wife :eek: (cause of execution of enemy lords)
 
Oh thanks, good idea. I hadn't looked at this before marriage, I thought the factions are at peace so everything is good :grin:
If there any way to make it up like giving her money or will she attack me when I talk to her?

I have a negative relation with my gf right now and she won't tell me why, so I see this as a reality simulator. :confused:

Well she should not attack, she would just be annoyed at you.

Relation can be increased by voting in her favour of her clan and by donating your influence to her clan

then try to practice in the game to see how to fix the reality part :razz:

Yea it's really hard to figure it out at first. I kept myself from executing anyone in early game because I wanted to have good relations with pretty much everyone I could. Now I'm around end mid-game and the Northern Empire has like... 3-4 different mercenary clans with them?(Embers, Forest, Jawwal & another one)
I went to check in the encyclopedia and all mercenary clans literally have NO friends, so I thought to myself: "Well I could at least try to wipe one of them off my map".
I made a seperate save, executed one. Around 15 minutes later I went to look the Northern Empire Lords & Vassals, 70% of them are at -60, 20% of them are at -40, the rest was between -20 & -10. And all the mercenary Clans wanted my head.

So I just reloaded and didn't do it. :fruity: I wish the penalty wasn't THAT harsh. Like, I get that it should drop, but when it says they have no friends at all, my relation shouldn't have to drop in the entire Empire. I don't know, what do you think?

Yep this putted me in and almost endless loop of losing relations. Derthert gave me a Aserai castle that was taken by right back. Vlandia took it again and gave it to me just to lose it again before i reached it. This happend about 5 times in a row and i have -90 relation with king xD

Unfortunately I forgot to create a separate save - I was getting annoyed with the armies attacking me every 2 mins, literally lords spawning with upgraded units instantly... So I just started chopping immediately.

Technically the penalty should be only with the family and lords within the same realm, otherwise just be friends with everyone and continuous peace all year round lol
 
yes i have seen that with losing fief , and its a pain. i dont mind if its all, others in that kingdom lose theres more than me one 6 times and still he is on the kings friends.. And yes that Derthert hate the guy. once i get my own kingdom going. of with his head.
 
No one liked people who executed lords in the Middle Ages, not even enemy ones. That's one thing the original got very right. John Lackland was famous for this, among other things, and look where his reputation went.

The only real nations in the Middle Ages were religion and class. And nobles saw themselves as the same kind of people.
 
Thanks all, that gives me some pointers to look out for but honestly, what can I do about it :grin: I am not ready to defend a fief in the middle of enemy territory :smile:

somthing should be done for that. Either to lower the lost of relation point when you lose a fief and either to have a countdown to lose relation point max one tim every "week" or "month"
