I can understand if it's something that gets asked every day, such as "why can't it be a mmorpg" or "when's the next patch coming". But if someone posts something that hasn't been talked about in a couple of weeks, it's stupid for some forum nerd to use the search and look thru every thread to find the one that is sort of similar to the one that was just posted, just so he can yell at the guy.
It's not just this forum, it happens in every forum, but it seems like everyone takes it a little bit too far. If someone asks a question that's stickied, ya, yell at them. But if it's some obscure question that someone asked 2 1/2 months ago, just answer the damn question. It's a lot easier to just reply the same way you did to the similar thread than to find the other thread and flame the new poster.
And, no, i didn't make this thread because i got flamed or anything like that. It's just something that happens on every forum, and it's pretty lame. Go get a life if the most exciting part of your day is finding an excuse to flame someone.
