Why can't I propose peace?

Hi,
You can approach any enemy lord and choose the dialog option "our countries should have peace" (or so, at the second dialog level). Then there is a barter screen, where You can offer money, prisoner or goods until the "OK" button gets green. The money slider is somewhat insensitive, You can add the enemys gold to fine tune.
To wage war, just raid a village or choose "deliver Your demands" as a dialog option.

That peace option is missing for me when I talk to lords of empire kingdoms(northern,western etc.) but I can make peace with other kingdoms.Is this a bug?

i also encountered this. other players said you have to track down the leader of the faction. have not tried that yet

I even went to the leader of the faction and no it is still missing.I cant understand how this happened.Did you find any solution?

oh no... also, my quest menu has a quest for each faction i am at war with and said they are leading an alliance against me. It says i can propose peace in the quest details, but i cannot. I wonder if this has effects

Yeah, I have same quests as well.It is bad that.And those quests failed because of the time in my game.I will probably try a mod for that issue.
It is quite simple, your leader may be dumb but he is still your leader and it is your duty to follow him......or rebel.
Honestly I have had a similar scenario twice in my current campaign. Once my dumb leader was greedy and overruled the decision to grant me a fief twice in a row so I left the kingdom, reconquered the city he took from me as my own and swore myself to the Western Kingdom.
Now I am in a similar situation to yourself. We are at war with all 4 factions that surround us, combined we have 5000 troops against their 18,000 and on top that my kingdoms lords have created like 6 separate armies all of about 300 strong so too small to even take a castle reliably and there is no lords left for me to call up anything at all. We are hemorrhaging territory right and left and I have a feeling it is a mortal wound. Luckily by some chance of fate, all my tow cities and a castle are literally clustered together right next to each other in a line, right next to that lake up in Battania territory and have 800 defenders each so the enemy is going after softer targets but unless peace breaks out very soon with at least 2 of the factions now at war with us, I am going to have to decide very soon to leave my kingdom yet again and either side with the Vladians which have taken pretty much everything around me or try to got it along.
On the other hand, the entire reason we are in this mess it because not one, not two, but three of our lords defected simultaneously all taking their significant number of fiefs and their armies with them. We easily lost 1/3 of our kingdom in a matter of seconds. That being the case, it seems like changing allegiance is supposed to be a big part of the game play experience so as much as it sucks, I must put my people before my kingdom and do what is best for them.
I can play it i want... But is worth lose all your units because AI just thrown this casstle surrounded by enemy territory to you? No jhaha.. I mean yes u can maybe win, but meh... For a castle i will not. For a city maybe yes
