Short one but wanted to put it out there. I still have the quest "Investigate Neretzes' Folly" on the talk-to-all-the-faction-leaders stage, and apparently, Lucon has died at age 66. His surviving kin, when asked, inform me that he still has thoughts about the Battle of Pendraic, though. I'd like to find his grave so I can ask his corpse the thoughts he apparently still has, but nobody seems to know where that is. Alas, I may never know.

You don't have to talk to Lucon about it. There are something like 23 other nobles and you only need ten. Off the top of my head:
  • Rhaegea
  • Garios
  • Lucon
  • Unqid
  • Tais
  • Adram
  • Monchug
  • Mesui
  • Hurunag
  • Caladog
  • Raganvad
  • Olek
  • Godun
  • Dethert
  • Ingalther
There are others as well but I don't think I've ever bothered tracking down all the Imperial faction nobles.

I think that the OP is trying to point out that its kind of funny that the script is referring to someone that obviously shouldn't be, as that person has died.

I was in a situation where only 9 of them were still alive and I couldn't finish the quest. They probably died in battles or something.

This exactly, dialogs are the most undeveloped thing in this game. I also find funny that villagers always talk about something and then say "my apologies did you need something" or smth like that, I hate that piece of dialog so much because for me it implies they're talking alone or to someone else even though they're talking straight to my face.
