Who plays first-person shooters?

Ok, so who here is into first-person shooters and which do you play.

I am most definitely into them, being playing them since I was... 8 years old. Hehe, probably why I get the twitches... *Twitch*

Still, I play Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Far Cry, UT2004, Counter-Strike Source and BF1942.

I've played others, but I play these most often.

I used to play a lot of UT, still play sometimes. Very good game in my opinion. Top notch. I stay away from all the HF, since first of all I don't see what all the hype is about, it's not that great. Plus the HL community is in its own dimention of ****ty. "OMG IMGOINGTOHAK YOU OMG!" Stay away from that **** like it was the clap.

BF 1942 was a revolutionary idea that was very poorly executed. I mean, they expect you to have a Nasa computer just to run it on min settings. Bastards.

I played Nam 67 which was as enjoyable as a trip to the dentist, but ehh, not many other viet kind of games. This one also had ample amounts of blood and gore to keep my homicidal side pleased.

I play loads of FPS games, one of my favourite genres (Right beside RPGs at the top of the list)

UT, Halo 2, Call of Duty, Doom 3, Serious Sam (the best game ever), all of the Timesplitters, No One Lives Forever 2, and plenty of others I can't remember.

I never did like Half Life all the much (gave me a wicked headache) and Half Life 2 wouldn't even work on my computer. You had to install CS with it and I didn't have the space, then later when I had the space it failed to install. After much frustration, it installed then Steam never connected right so I couldn't decrypt the files. **** Half-life.

Pariah was fun but, there were not enough weapons and the campaign was incredibly short. Area 51 is also kinda cool but, I never got into it and it gave me some horrible motion sickness. I know I am forgetting a bunch.

Oh and XIII was really underrated.

EDIT: OMG how could I forget about the best multiplayer FPS ever. GOLDENEYE!

I used to play CS:Source before HL2 came out, and before so many speed hacks were around. Now I play with friends occaisionally. I have Doom 3 and a few others that I don't play too often. I just downloaded the F.E.A.R MP beta today. It's fun, but the SP is definitely where it will shine I think.

I FPSs that I have are Call of Duty, HL2, CS:S, Doom3, UT2k4. Possibly some more that I can't remember right now.

I played BF1942 MOD: Xww2, it's one of the most relistic mod, and Eagle114th used to work there, and make extremely amazing Plane engine sound.

stalker and the fantastic Xray engine, the only origional game concept ive seen in years and i love the fact that they are actually pushing A.I. As most dev teams have forgotten about this its good they are working to improve and innovate.. like nintendo, but only it might work

Unfortunately, the AI in FPS's has hardly improved at all since HL 1...odd really. But i myself tend to play halflife when it comes to a fps. I gave up on CS a few years ago and only play natural selection now. Anyone else here play that mod??? Best mod there is if you ask me.

Hey had anyone of you Heard about Battlefield 2? i saw the screenshot, and it kick arse, but theres one thing that bugs me, it's that you can only use specific video cards, and mine is only Gforece 4000, i'm gonna get a Gforce 6600 GT for BF2.

haha me too! I got a 3-4 year old computer (AMD Athlon 1000), but the battlefield 2 demo works great.
