Who has taken over Calrandia with no tweaks?

Please post if you have taken over Calrandia completely as a king.

1.  Was damage on normal/normal?
2.  Did you have realistic saves?
3.  Did you use the "exploit" of  not paying your troops?
4.  Was everything 100% native?  (NO tweaks, NO mods)

I did that but with diplomacy enabled only with the nords left.

I have conquered the whole map only once. It's very time consuming.

During that time, I never used a mod/tweak. I prefer 100% Native, anyway. Now I use Battlesizer, which I use to play with 200 men on the field, instead of the 150 cap.

Congrats!

just to confirm:
Did you play with autosave (not manual save)?
Was it 100% damage?
Did you have some castles/cities that you stored troops in but didn't take ownership of so you didn't have to pay them?
What day was it when you finished?

I would take over the world but...i never wanted to be a king because it will be hard to get troops when i conquer a castle. i know how to get them but how do you get so many powerful enough to fight good.

Is there some secret i dont know, because training them takes forever i just use cheats.
And i dont want to be a king, only because of the troops thing. Can someone give me some tips...

I had Realistic Saving and... 97% difficulty?

I also had fiefs of my own, which I mostly stored Swadian Knights and Vaegir Marksmen in. 150+ Swadian Knights and 60 - 70 Vaegir Marksmen. The rest were lower tier troops.

I think I had 2 towns and few castles to myself.

Supporting them was the most time consuming part. I ran around participating in tournaments, trading and selling items from the dead for months.

I can't remember how many days past exactly. It was over 2000, I know that much.

Recruit Lezalit and add stat points to his Trainer Skill, or whoever you choose.

I don't have him as a companion anymore, as he is one of my vassals. I'm still getting over 3000 experience by midnight. Firentis has 6 points on Trainer.

The experience depends on the amount of troops you are carrying, though.

I was under the impression that any more than 5 on trainer was a waste of points? Am I thinking of a different skill or did I hear it wrong?

why would it be a waste of points? each level of trainer increases the exp the guy gives out.

Very impressive!  Thanks for sharing!

By the time I hit about level 30 I could raise an army of 100 knights in the course of a week or so.

I have level 10 trainer and my companions all have decent level trainer skill too.  I also have very good relations with a bunch of Swadian villages so it was not unusual to get 15-20 recruits from one town.

(Marnid/Yamira/Borcha/Jeremus/Firentis) (more?)

It's difficult to defend your kingdom entirely by yourself; the game probably wants you to recruit some vassals to fight for you. You can also just recruit companions, but only a handful of them are "noble" and giving land to other companions will piss off everyone.

I've conquered the whole map a couple of times:grin: But it was on M&B 1.011:grin: Didn't have time to do it on warband also:grin: And yea, realistic savings, and max difficulty, but battlesizer to 80 (my comp wound have died if it was larger)... Pretty boring I must say, because in old M&B you couldn't have lords in your kingdom, so I had to conquer and defend every castle lol:grin:

I Get bored and start new game when 10% of map is mine...i require MUCH more entrtainment then what Native can offer to stay at it so i am waiting on a really good mod.

Try to reserve your noble companion for lord.
I find easier to recruit other AI lord if i have a bunch of lord first.
Usually before i declare rebel, i try to find  6 noble companion first.
Always send them to do some task or they morale will drop.
The day i rebel, i will give fief for each of them

At the beginning, companion lord have good relation with you, so it's easy to call them to help you, if you are the marshal.
Playing native, 179% diff, i have no trouble calling my vassal to arms.
Biggest battle so far 900+ mostly rhodok lord (me with my vassal) vs 600+ swadian, and i lose badly
