Requested for only 2 days? Seems kind of pointless, 48 hours isn't a very long time.
He was muted for two days, then reported that it wasn't enough, that he needed a ban.

I kind of agree that it seems a bit heavy. Especially that it got so far to a mute. And I hate him with a burning passion.
I can say that a discussion has started amongst the moderation staff about closing this thread and the two discussion threads. This thread was started with the hope that people could learn from the mistakes of others. It has not worked out that way. Consequently, we have a few of the off-topic crowd who have become self-entitled, whiny-ass crybabys. I wish I had kept track of every post Docm30 had made that was reported but, for which, he did NOT receive a warning, because I did not believe a warning was warranted.

Though to try and claim immunity based upon a "joke persona" doesn't fly either. Especially when the user operating under said joke persona has reacted quite indignantly to prior jokes at his expense before, which really casts doubt on the sincerity of offense and whether any harm warranting moderator intervention actually occurred. But that's my two cents.
