I really miss the Hunt Down Raiders quest. Also the capture nobleman but that should be modified to capture ultra-rich
merchant or guild master since the nobles of Calradia can have war parties now...
Well yeah, they can have war parties, but they'd only use those when going to war (duh). For ordinary travel they wouldn't drag the whole army with them, they'd leave it in a castle and travel accompanied just by a small retinue of bodyguards, companions, and various other tagalongs, exactly as portrayed in the original capture nobleman quest.

Yep small retinue it should be, on a side note, there's this escort the lady quest, it would be nice if your party would get attacked along the way, you know a scripted army that searches you out after you have the lady in your retinue.

Except Calradia is embroiled in a war which would behoove a noble to have a his war party with him…DUH!

The original quest was when we didn’t have AI nobles that actively patrolled and interacted within the game world.
I only wanted to point out that particular quest would need a little tweaking to make better sense.

Perhaps you should re-read what I wrote. Of course he'd have his WAR party with him when going to WAR. DUH.

I understood your original post just fine. What you failed to understand is that the original capture the
noble quest was based the upon a version where there were no AI heroes who had parties of any sort. The noble
you had to capture was some haughty aristocrat who couldn't lead his way out of a wet paper bag, let alone
command a troop of soldiers. Now that we have AI "peers" of nobles it wouldn't make sense that they would
all of a sudden go frolicking around the countryside with all those enemy war bands roaming the countryside with less
than they could possibly muster up. - (like just being respawned after getting wiped out)
Hence, I was making the suggestion that it be reworked a bit so as to offer a plausible reason of reintroducing
it into the quest queue.

Also while the devs are tweaking that quest they could have the rich and influential merchant have hired mercenaries
for guards instead of mediocre faction troops to give the quest a bit more challenge.

Nope, yet again you're demonstrating your lack of understanding. I'll reiterate once more, and then I'm done with this conversation.
Nobles can have war parties, but they'd only use those when going to war. For ordinary travel they wouldn't drag the whole army with them, they'd leave it in a castle and travel accompanied just by a small retinue of bodyguards, companions, and various other tagalongs, exactly as portrayed in the original capture nobleman quest.
There. Either you get it, or you don't. I don't give a **** either way.

Capturing enemy noble would be nice. Perhaps it can be expanded to capture enemy lord and messangers.
The "bring me X weapons or whores quest" wasn't so fun, in fact it is time consuming and boring.
About the raiders quest, lords in Calradia should seriously care more about their fiefs and protect them.

I think they do now. I see 'em partrol their fiefs a lot...
