The lord quest was cool, but make him a hero so he won't die, and make it that he can't die! your men killing the noblemen was a pain in the but! I think Lhorkan even made a comic about the frustration it would bring
If he couldn't die, it wouldn't be as fun/challenging, and you can order your men to use blunt weapons,
or make sure you knock out the nobleman before your own men kill him. Now that's a challenge

Bleh an easy xp mission should be in game without having to travel half the map with cows, or a battle where your troops can die. So an easy capture the noblemen would be welcome

damnit, I "miss-voted" I meant to vote for #1. I thought it was that new capture enemy lord quest
the hunt down bandits was quite troublesome (fun at times), it should have been, intercept the bandits (or both variations).

Hahah, two people voted for the fetch item x quests now!  I almost voted that for laughs.  But then I thought someone would mistake that for something serious.

I loved both the noblemen and raiders quests.  Both keep the quest playing fresh if you alternate between the two.

superheroes that aren't immortal

take their head once they're dead

And gain their powers as a result?

There can be only one!

EDIT: Oh man, we *really* need a Highlander Mod.

nah, nobody wants to run around looking like Christopher lambert (if that's his name, you know the guy that was also in druids)

There's no reason why you'd have to be Christopher Lambert. The idea is to make a mod in the Highlander Universe, not to *be* the Highlander.

Capture noble-man quest. I have fond memories of that, I would love to have it back.

You can remove your vote and vote again...

Haha

Yes we do.
We just need to add removable limbs first:
*decapitation*
*you proficiency with two handed weapons have increased from 105 to 254*

The sound sample "Away with you vile beggar" is actually still in the game (sounds folder)

Nah I've already worked out a system for it, go check out the Highlander Mod thread in the Mod Development Forum.

... Then, once you have made them your prisoner, you can choose to cut off their head and gain their power (experience)
So decapitation after being captured. Not as fun, but it would work

Goes bit offtopic (again), but currently quests feel like repeating same, which very little variation.

How about quests where you need to use your brain? Someone stole a chicken from goods trader, you need to ask things in city to find out who did it, knock him unconsious and get him to prison.
Well that's not very M&B'istic, but maybe a quest where you need to bust out a friendly lord deep from enemy territory. Or lure war parties to ambush? Assasinate few enemy townguards?

Is that a chicken in your pocket, or...

There is the 'talk to a spy in an enemy town' quest, where you need to remember what the person
is wearing and the secret phrase to get the information. That requires a little - if not brain then - memory

I don't think I've ever seen the spy wear what was said that he/she would wear. "He'll be wearing a linen tunic", and the spy I talked to wore robes...

Anyway, the raider quest. Doesn't involve knocking people unconscious or bringing 7 mauls to some ******* whose troops aren't even equipped with them.

In missed the hunting down river pirates quest, back when Zendar was with us
Didn't mention that because it's like hunting looters now. Only it doesn't take forever

Curiously, hunting losers is now more profitable than going after the mid-range enemies, as losers carry goods, now quite expensive, whereas bandits and deserters only drop crappy weapons and armor.

I liked the raider quest. The only times I couldn't finish it was if someone got to them first.
P.S.: It helps if you know a bit of tracking.

I Don't miss hunting the river pirates. They were just weapon practice for me and my men. The new looters are better (more money in it).

I really miss the Hunt Down Raiders quest. Also the capture nobleman but that should be modified to capture ultra-rich
merchant or guild master since the nobles of Calradia can have war parties now...No sense in modifying the scheme
of things since the .890 versions.

The hunt down raiders quest though made good use of your party tracking skills which doesn't get much workout
since that quest went away.  :???:
