Is this a joke?? Plenty of mods with swords but not a single one with blunt weapons?!

Is it a joke? Depends on what you think is funny.
Is it funny posting a thread about UNIQUE BLUNT WEAPONS when you can type it in the searchbar?
Cuz I don't think that's funny at all.

Searching doesn't work. I'm picking up each word individually on every forum on this website. You're not helpful or nice.

He does have a point, I admit.

Anyways, let me think for a bit. I think Hegemony will certainly have some exotic and new blunt weaponry, but unfortunately, it is not released for the newest version just yet. It's getting there, though.

Unique blunt weapons? Thats... a good question :???:

I believe the Eagle and the Radiant Cross might have some, they have multiple unique weapons. And maeby... Native Expansion?

I think Prophecy of Pendor has some. I couldn't be certain, as I haven't played original M&B for a while, but I'd try it out.

I'm planning to add part of a mace-pack and I will definitely try to model some more thingies among which there will indubitably be some blunt weapons.

I think there's a mod called "DayDream" or what ever it was, and I remember it having some cool blunt weapons. I'm not sure is it out yet or anything, though.

yeah, people say to use the search option, but it really isnt helpful. No offence to anybody else.

psst i think this hints that you should make some blunt weapons for your mod ^^

Uhh, what? No it doesn't. It hints that the search button is fairly unreliable in some cases.

Im not sure about unique blunt weapons but does anyone else think that blunt weapons are
pathetically weak in most mods as well as native?? like how can a bastard sword have a better damage rating than a big f**k off spiked mace when we all know that its just not true.

And I'm sure most people realise that when plate armour became more advanced hammers/maces/polearms became weapon of choice as they didnt need to find weakpoints in the armour like a sword or dagger tip, you could just bludgeon someone to death and buckle their armour, yet nearly every single mod has pathetic damge ratings for blunt weapons.

anyway, thats my rant over

Thing is, the damage ratings only look to be so low for blunt and pierce weapon. Blunt and pierce both care fairly little about armour so that your relatively low blunt damage against an armoured foe is much higher than your relatively higher slash against the same armour.

For example; in Native: Have you ever fought King Harlaus? His plate armour pretty much ignores your pathetic balanced falchion or one handed battleaxe unless you hit him at a tremendous speed but you can batter the **** out of him with a winged mace or a morningstar.

Try Expanded Gameplay for some frken effective blunt weapons. They almost ignore armor all together. xD

I completely agree with this, but I never really figured if morningstar is treated as a blut or a pierce weapon by the game?
The size of the ball suggests blunt, but the spikes obviously kill - peirce.

Damage says pierce and I wouldn't recommend it if you want to take prisoners. The morningstar kills so it isn't a blunt weapon in game. Just a heavy piercing weapon.
