Khuzait. I will for once ride through Calradia leaving nothing but trampled corpses, burning ruins and slow as snails infantry armies chasing me in my wake. It is likely raiding is suboptimal way to play like in Warband but new game so I will not know for sure.

I truly do love the empire and vlandians, i however also hate crossbowmen and prefer archers, which is the main reason why i will not play as a vlandian. Which is sad because i do love their armor. But for now, Western empire will be my starting faction.

Exactly the same, altough I have already made my mind up to play Battania first, as it's culture is entirely new to native calradia.
Yeah, I may have to do the same. I especially like that they are a bit of an underdog and their position on the map puts it in a good position to attack the fringes of some of the larger empires. I foresee them getting crushed though, much like Swadia does but hopefully with AI improvements and changes in the way battles work they will survive long enough for me to enjoy them.
Pray for the devs to implement ambushes.
The main issue is that there is no clearly designated heir and multiple people have been proclaimed emperor with powerful backing.
According to one of the Empire Dev Blogs the heir is typically chosen from either the Emperor’s family, the upper ranks of his army, or the elders of the senate.
No one was chosen so after he died, the people choose the Emperor’s family, the army chose a popular general, and the Senate chose one of its own.
All of them have a somewhat equal claim so civil war has broken out to press their claims.
So who’s to say the Empress is more valid than either of the two Emperors?

I wouldn't be surprised if there was ceasefires during the civil war, just so if you join one Empire faction you aren't cut off from the rest and in a constant state of war. Not like I'd be opposed to constant action on the other hand.

I'm going to unite the empire through the western empires military might (hopefully take it over in a cool scheming or diplomatic way rather than just force). Then I will legitimize my rule by marrying the empires daughter, and proceed to slaughter the impudent vlandians and all the other filthy barbarians to cross the empire.
That would be absolutely fantastic. If they did that I would play a whole game as Pict ambushes and raid villages and stuff. Though...they look less Pict than I would like, still bad ass Celtic warriors though.

With AI improvements I gotta go with the horse people first. Unlike Warband they might be viable in Bannerlord.
I'm split between Battania and the Empire. If I do go Empire, Southern Empire.

Sorry that was a typo, what i meant to ask is why The 3 factions are NOT at war.. So far only north and Western are at war while the South is at peace. Why is The South empire at peace when everyone else betrayed them?
I got this information from Gamescom i believe, maybe this is outdated and I do hope that is The case because to Me it makes no sense for 1 faction to not be at war.. Especially The empress.
If someone else have confirmed and updated information regarding this, please feel free to put me in my place and correct me. Because it would only make me a happier man. ?
