Where is my computer failing to run Bannerlord?

So I know my computer has aged considerably and that I'm pretty much at the end with it keeping up with modern games. But my understanding is my computer should be able to run Bannerlord, if only on lower graphic settings, but I can't run it at all. Here are my specs:
Intel Core I7 CPU 920 @ 2,67ghz
12288 MB Ram
Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 - approx. Total Memory: 4039 MB

But the weirdest thing is when I load up bannerlord and go to performance settings my estimated GPU memoray usage says its 1931 mb / 1479 mb on medium settings.
So what's going on here? My novice understanding is that its reading my video memory as only 1479 and not using the total 4039. Is that correct? I don't mind if my computer can't run it but I need to know what my problem is before I can try to fix it. Thank you for your help

Are you playing on a laptop or does your desktop have an integrated card? Double check your using the correct graphics card.

Could be that your graphics card isn't powerful enough to run the game if that is the graphics card you have. According to user benchmark the gtx 660 is 14% better than the card you have and the 660 is the minimum requirement for bannerlord

Could be, but I used this site: https://www.pcgamebenchmark.com/mount-blade-ii-bannerlord-system-requirements to check if I met the system requirements and it claimed that I did

In any case, double check in your performance settings on Bannerlord that it's using the correct card.

The reason you're only getting 1.5 GB vram is because that card only has 1.5 GB vram, not 4 GB. You need to upgrade your GPU.
