where do I start?

I want to make small mod myself and i'd like someone to point me in the right direction to get started. I never did any moding in M&B but I have some exeperience in modifying *.ini file from different rts game. I also did some scenario/mission for these same rts games. That would be my only experience in game modling. I dont know which tool are usable for 1.003 and which are not, or if its possible at all to mod the game atm. Any hint would be good to have.

If someone can tell me which tool to use and how to get started, I'll do the work myself.




Heres a list of the feature that I want to add to the native mod:

-Add new roaming party like the dark knight from old M&B version.

-Give new item to loot only from this party like the black armor from old M&B

-Add some Hirable NPC from the tavern.

-Remove the whining that comes with some npcs duo. (npc who *****e about each other... it doesn't make the game more enjoyable).

-Give the option to make a lord of those companion when you start  a rebellion by yourself (not the claimant quest)

-Once you've started a rebellion like mentioned above, you should be able to:
  *Give troop to any lord of your faction
  *at all time, have acces to a list of all the castle your faction possess and be able to give ownership to your different lord from there.
  * Be able to make alliance with different kingdom and declare war at any time.
  *be able to convince lords from ther faction to join your cause if you have a good relation with them and enough persuasion skill or just bribe them.

I also want to be able to modify troop tree, create new unit and modifiy existing weapon.

I'll make it available to download when it's done.

well, you can't mod for 1.0 yet, but as long as you're using 960 or older, then that's all fine and dandy. first, download python and the module system. there is a stickied page at the top that says "module system for version 960" and there you can download it. if you are using an older version, I think there's a page somewhere on this board called old M&B versions or something like that. it has downloads for older versions and the module systems.

once you have the module system, go to the module system documentation. I'll give you some links later.
