where do i buy a firearm?

i didnt find this topic anywhere  Anyways,i did the "change this to 1" crap, but i still cant find any firearms  in the game. Does it take a while to show up,require a certain level of renown/honor or am i just screwed over on this one?

You can find a description here that explains how you can change the files so it is possible.
It is not dependent on renown or anything, you just have to wait a few days for the items to appear at random in the weapon shops.

Success! It did the trick for me! Cool trick, thanks for the help. I'd would like to know more modifications like this if possible. I could not defend myself before in this game, now I am a great defender. I was scared to play online, but now I can even defend in cyber land. cyber defender

You can easily do it with the item editor. Just remember that if you increase the damage it also gives an invisible penalty to accuracy. This does not happen when you change the damage of the ammo.
If you increase the speed of the ammunition you should also increase the length, otherwise you have a good chance of the bullets "phasing" through opponents.
