Where can I find easier bandits?

I'm getting my butt handed to me by desert bandits. I think I've lost like 40+ soldiers (peasants) and I'm broke, have no horse and am starting over.

There had got to be a newbie area that doesn't have lots of 15group desert bandits running around.

go to swadia, pick the forest bandits, looters and mountain bandits as well

then move to nords to sea raiders (litle tougher)

the bandits in khergit khante and ssaranid's are way to tough to start on...

Yea starting out in the steppes/desert is very hard for that reason. Not only are they tough they also move quite fast in the world map, and since at the beginning you don't  have a companion with good pathfinding skills and a lot of low tier infantry units they always catch up to you.

Avoid Sarranid and Khergit areas in the beginning. Those bandits are fast, and make the area difficult.

That, and is it just me or Recruits are weaker? At least Rhodok ones, I mean, Looters are smacking them seriously

What happened to Sea Raiders? I find them very easy to kill as Rhodok, and melee AI troops get somehow confused in combat. Huh?

Go close to Khudan, there are llots of Tundra bandits. They are just like unmounted Steppe bandits.

Also at lower levels practice what I like to term ‘Jackal Battles’ where you join in battles already in
progress between any faction/man-hunter parties with bandits/looters/raiders. You don’t get as much
loot but do get some experience for your green troops as well as your own experience.

I believe the Swadian Recruits/Militia are weaker also.

Either that or the Khergits are tougher at the start.

For some reason I can barely find any bandits or anything to fight.  I've roamed all around and rarely find looters, sea raiders, ect?
I remember there being so many parties roaming around before.  I'm only on day 10 or something.

+1, I can literally wander for days (and have), without finding bandits, unless I go to Nord lands, to fight looters and sea raiders... There seem to be absolutely no bandits whatsoever in Rhodok and Swadian lands...much harder to level up now, especially considering how many MORE units of each faction are running around on the map now.

A side problem.....  Each time I see faction generals, they are ALL running around in groups of 4-500 plus (not the individual party, but 7-8 generals or more each with over 50 party size...makes hacking things out on  your own pretty difficult.

I always find tons of forest bandits near the mountains/forests near Swadia/Rhodok.

I started in Sarranid and there are tons of bandits swarming around in the desert.
